You can usually book a Handicap cabin by just clicking the checkbox for need accessible cabin.

I believe the HC form is used for special needs, like extension cords, sharps container, or other special needs.

You can get full details at:  https://www.celebritycruises.com/special-needs

Thank you. I called the number in the link and they said I didn’t need to fill anything out because my TA already confirmed that I needed that cabin. I only needed to fill it out if they didn’t or like you said, if I needed something special. They noted special assistance needed boarding and disembarking.

  2. I tried to check in for my January cruise with the Celebrity app. It verified my Travel info and Arrival Time but says I’m we’re not yet cleared to board because they are still Validating our Vaccination Records and our answers to health questions must be the day before the cruise. I submitted copies of our vaccine records. Is this normal?

Would someone please recommend a nice hotel for a one night pre-cruise stay?  Anyone stayed at the Best Western Oceanside Plus Fort Lauderdale or the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina?  Your thoughts.

    Thanks in advance.

I haven’t stayed at BW, but thought about it. All the reviews I saw were good, except one recent one said they got bed bugs. I decided not to take the chance and booked Hampton Inn.

  4. I found an Alaska cruise I would like to book for August. TA is telling me that in addition to proof of vaccination, I will have to pay for a negative Covid test for all 4 of us (fully vaccinated and over 12 yrs). That makes the price total too much for me. Is my TA correct?

I believe the handicap cabins are designed around assisting people with scooters, wheelchairs, and walkers. People who need the wider cabins doors to get in and our with those devices and extra room to store them. I probably wouldn't consider requesting a handicap cabin unless I needed a device that like that.

I don't use a mobility device, except a cane, but am unsteady on my feet. I need the grab bars in the restroom and use them at home too. I have a neurological condition, but look normal. People on a cruise tend to think I'm intoxicated, but I'm not.

  6. I'm considering using my FCC for a cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale. How far apart are the airport and cruise terminal and is it easy to get transportation between the two? If I flew in the night before, could I stay in a hotel at or near the airport? I'm disabled if that makes any difference.

  7. I have an Alaskan cruise booked with NRD for August 2021. It's probably going to be cancelled. I already did L&S from 2020. Can I use FCC to apply towards a 2022 Carribbean cruise or do I just lose my NRD? I'm okay with losing it as I feel like no one is coming out of covid without some loss.

  8. Can anyone make sense of the US recommendation to vaccinate all healthy 16-64 yr. olds at the same time? Certainly a 64 yr. old's risk is far more than a 16 yr. old's? UK is vaccinating by decades; in other words, over 85's, then over 75's, then over 65's and over 55's and so on down the line, with under 25's being last. That seems to make a lot more sense. As it is now, my grandchild and I are in the same group!

  9. I originally had a cruise booked for last August, used Lift and Shift and changed to 2021. In the meantime, I have become handicapped and will probably need an accessible cabin. Will X allow me to change? This was booked through a TA so I guess I need to contact them.
