I can have them remove items? This I will do. Then my question is can I get cans if beer and request them NOT opened sonI can have some cabin drinks.
We've done 4 cruises with MSC so far and I've found a few friendly bar tenders each cruise who have been more than happy to give me a few bottles unopened 'for the room'. An early tip and probably more importantly taking the time to chat with them and asking them about themselves has probably helped though

We doing the Norway cruise tomorrow for 7 nights and the cheapest I have seen it for is £700 pp so getting 14 nights for that price that is a bargain.
Also looks like some Fjords will have limited access (zero emission rule) (Flam is one of them) from 2025/26 so better get sailing or pay a fortune later.
I am trying to convince my wife that an inside cabin is a good idea, but she is not buying the no fresh air idea. I love the darkness for sleeping. So we might see if I can view one on the cruise to win her over.
The glw and I are on this cruise too Cable, let's hope the weather is kind to us 😉

On our cruise which we board tomorrow, we had the upgrade offer almost a month before final payment was due.

Long time cruiser, first time MSC’er. On my booking documents, it shows “Legacy Duo” for $26. What is this? TIA!
That's a cracking bargain - currently priced at £65.00 per person on our sailing later this month

Really appreciate your help.
My question to them was if I purchased a drinks package then got upgraded to yc would I get a refund.
I don't suppose you have any educated guesses on this matter as this CS seems useless!
Unfortunately not Execute.
Point 18.......
18. All services that have been purchased and / or prepaid before the Winning Bid event for an upgrade in "Aurea" or "Yacht Club" experience will not be refunded if the same service, of the same or higher quality, is included in the new experience resulting from the Winning Bid.

Nice one!
I had the below email from msc regarding upgrading to YC so I'm a little confused.
Good Afternoon
Thank you for your email.
In regards to the upgrade , If you do get upgraded to Yacht club cabins it will only be an upgrade of the room and not the full experience. Therefore a drink package will not be included.
If any further assistance is required please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind regards

MSC Cruises LtdMight be worth pointing Pamela to the acutal upgrade bid t&c's, specifically points 17 & 21.
MSC Cruises | Terms and Conditions (plusgrade.com)
17. The Upgrade does not include any additional promotions. Guests whose upgrade bid is accepted will receive the experience level included with their original reservation. The exceptions will be in the case of a Winning Bid in “Aurea” or “Yacht Club” Experience. In these cases, the Guests will also be guaranteed all the benefits relative to the new experience. (I added the bold myself).
21. If the Guest wins an Upgrade to an "Aurea" or "Yacht Club" experience cabin, the original booked experience "Bella" or "Fantastica" will be changed with the new experience "Aurea" or "Yacht Club". The new experience will guarantee to Guests all the benefits related to the "Aurea" or "Yacht Club" experience.
Good luck ExeCute 😉

had an upgrade bit accepted today (24 days out from sailing) - initial new booking confirmation showed the cabin change but not the experience.
Sent a quick email explaining and new booking confirmation issued within an hour showing the cabin change and experience added under the extras panel (you know where they show the gratuities, obc and drinks etc).
Also logged into MSC for me app and it is showing cabin and experience as it now should be since the upgrade.

That's actually good for you. But that will be 3-5 days prior to sailing they will assign them.
As sailing gets closer, watch prices as they may come down and then people may outright buy them.
Sorry to revive an old thread, but it is relevant.
So, we're 24 days out from sailing, and I've had a bid accepted - granted it was for the least best of the three choices originally offered (premium suite aurea - the others were grand suite aurea with w/p and Y/C Deluxe Suite).
I offered what I was comfortable with paying extra for each based on what I paid for our balcony and what these would have cost at the time - overall got the upgrade for less than half of what it would have cost at time of booking, so for us, happy days!

Thanks for taking the time to do the reporting @ConnieTact, it's always nice to hear other peoples views/experiences. Can't wait for our trip in May now to see the Fjords, last time on Virtuosa was down to the Canaries so this'll be a different sort of trip

I have an 'aspiration' to experience YC, but atm it is cost prohibitive as we could not cope with an inside, but it is all down to personal preference. We do like to sometimes chill in the cabin or on a balcony, but many folks don't spend much time in them and if that was me I'd go YC Interior

DH has a similar problem so it may be a glitch in the new site. Guess I’ll live without the chance to bid for an upgrade. 🥴😆If I could put a bid in for you I would

Name and booking number gives me access - but just to the particular booking; not to my account. Joys of MSC IT, alright. 🤣 Still, the new site is awesome in comparison to what we had before. 🤪Surprised nobody at MSC can't just reset your password for you, saying that mind from some of the horror stories I hear that'd probably result in you being deleted from the system entirely, including any bookings

Good advice divina, hence my earlier post that when making your initial booking, always book a cabin you will be happy with, then if the upgrade fairy does decide to smile on you it's an added bonus 😉

Unfortunately I can’t log in. Haven’t been able to for years. Gave up trying to get them to sort it.
The Ireland website was finally brought into the 21st century recently; tried to log in but keep getting a notice saying my email has to be validated and that they’ve sent me an email for validation. However I never get the email. Yet, if I try to register with my email address they say that it is already associated with an account. 🙄
The joy's of MSC iT 🤬
Incidently Bea, how then do you do check-in and access your docs for boarding/luggage?

Won't be accepted until within 30 days or so but more likely 3-5 days unless you bid a large amount that equals what you could buy it for.
Also are you talking Yacht club?
No need to give the farm away so far out. There are hundreds waiting to upgrade.
YC Deluxe, Grand Suite Aurea with whirlpool and Premium Suite Aurea, online the Grand Suites are all sold out but there are currently 11 YC Deluxe showing as available for booking.
Strangely enough at the time, even the top offer was for less than current prices.
I put bids in for what I was comfortable with, all were considered 'strong' offers - will just have to wait out I guess

I made a final payment and the day after doing the check in, apart from Credit Card, I got an email from MSC to upgrade.
@RBrowny this was one of the points to my post - strangely this time I received the upgrade offer before final payment was due, I'm hoping this will sort of give me better priority, but it is more likely just a quirk of iT at MSC - here's hoping the upgrade fairies are good to me
