Thanks. I like my Diet Coke in a can..
-
I also have the Classic package and have a question regarding Diet Coke. The package says fountain soft drinks. Does that mean I will need to pay for a can of Diet Coke?

Ladyainn - The Vasa museum is the first thing on our list for Stockholm. My heritage is Swedish/Norwegian so I am very excited to be in Stockholm. Did you do a tour or were you on your own in Stockholm? If on your own, was it easy to do??? I can only do so many escorted tours so hopeful this will be easy and freedom to just see what we want.

Thanks for the info!!!! I am in a 1C cabin 8212 for the Baltic cruise in May. Some of the rest of the group are in 2C's. I don't know their cabin numbers yet. 6 widows who have traveled together to China and Australia will be together for this cruise and we are so excited about the itinerary. Some places we have seen before and some new ports!! I find myself very excited about Tallinn as I really enjoy medieval history. We will be in Amsterdam two days ahead of the cruise so we will have some time there. We went ahead and booked SPB tours for St Petersburg and Berlin. We will try the ship tour of Copenhagen and Helsinki and Poorvo. For Tallinn, I printed a Rick Steves walking tour and an app for my iPhone. Tallinn seems like a place I would just like to wander about with some reference information. I think Stockholm we will also so on our own. We are arranging transportation pickup at Frihammen. Thanks to cruise critic for a lot of my research information!!! Have I missed anything important????

Could someone explain the difference between 1A and 2C cabins?
Also, what sort of activities are available on Silhouette sea days??
Thanks

Another non hand sanitizer user here.....I will use soap and water often though........
-
Just to be clear - I only wash my compression knee highs and undies!!!! Everything else goes to the ship's laundry!!!!
-
I have been to the Container Store and purchased my hanger with 12 clothespins. Should be just perfect for what I need. Thanks for that information.
Little did I know, when I asked about somewhere to hang my travel clothesline, that it would generate this much traffic!!!
8 widows will be on Silhouette in May for the Baltic cruise. We have our SPB tours booked, economy comfort seats on our flights booked, hotel in Amsterdam, and I think we are ready to go!!!!
We are all so excited about the ports on this cruise......
-
Thank you Straughn!!!!! My container store has the hangar in stock and I will pick it up this week. Looks like the perfect packable item for those smalls!!!!!
-
And I loved Brisbane, Cairns, Port Douglas, and Sydney when I visited Australia!!!!!
-
Thanks for all the information. I just want to wash socks and undies, everything else goes to the ship's laundry. I will be at Walmart today looking for metal hooks as I have a travel clothes line. I found a cabin tour on Youtube and I think there are a few places I can place a small skirt hangar too.
8 widows are off on a Baltic cruise and we are so excited to be on Ccelebrity Silhouette. The board has been a great place for us to gather information for this trip. Thanks everyone!!!!

I realize there is not a clothes line in the shower on Silhouette, but is there anywhere to use my travel clothes line. I like to wash a few things myself.
Thanks

I would like a website that works. We chose to book many of our tours privately rather than use Celebrity. It was just too much of a hassle......The Baltic cruise in May will be my first Celebrity cruise. So far I am not impressed just because of the website.
-
Thank you vulcan1971!!!! Just what I was looking for.
-
Can anyone provide information on the prices in the spa? Will be on Silhouette in May.
-
Thank you Roxette!!! A taxi sounds like it would be perfect for us, even if we need three, it is reasonable.
-
We are a group of 8 women taking the Baltic Cruise on Celebrity. How do most people go from the ship to the airport in Stockholm???? Are taxi's the best? Should we prearrange with an independent company? We are a little older and do no want to take any buses, trains, etc.
-
Thanks everyone for your suggestions...Eight widows are going on our first Celebrity cruise and really looking forward to it. We have travelled together before but to one country and didn't have to think about this. I will relay the information to the other ladies.
-
We will be on the Baltic cruise and Sweden, Denmark, and Russia are not on the Euro. Thanks for the info regarding purchasing small amounts on board. That should work as I use my credit card for most purchases.
-
When cruising I usually obtain some foreign currency before I leave then hit the ATM's as needed for additional funds. How do cruisers handle different country's currency when you are only there for a day?? I use my credit card for a lot of purchases but hate to be without some cash.....

Thanks for the information!!!

I am new to Celebrity and planning a cruise from Amsterdam to Stockholm in May of 2015. My question is regarding bottled water on the ship. Is there a charge for every bottle of water (non premium brands)???
Thanks

I think Holland America has moved down on the list of possible cruise lines for this trip.
-
Thank you for the information. The Holland America itinerary sounds like what we want but I was not going to book with a line that allowed smoking in the cabins. Has anyone been on a verandah next to someone who is smoking??? Can you smell the smoke??? That is still a concern for me.

Thanks so much for the information. I just contacted SPB regarding a tour of Helsinki and Poorvo. Waiting to hear back from them.
Good walking shoes are the first thing I pack!!!!
