That’s good to know about Chase sapphire rewards…that was my next option for the flights but we were hoping to save them for next year since we thought we were getting such a good deal with FBC..hopefully it still comes through….

Thanks..hopefully that is the case…there aren’t that many seats left in business so I hope it comes through…as it stands now I can’t even sit next to my husband..

Yes I really wonder how this is going to turn out. If I hadn’t been watching my Ap ..who knows when I would of been notified about the cancellation..the agent from United said that there is a number for Flights by Celebrity to call to make the change but they refused to do that when I called and said they have a procedure and it could take up to thirty days…ugh!!!!

I have read so many posts bashing Flights by Celebrity and was hoping I wouldn’t have an issue with them. However, we are booked on the 9/3 Edge cruise out of Rome. I booked flights many months ago with Flights by Celebrity -outbound was a United flight codeshare with Swiss air… JFK to FCO connecting in ZHR… a couple of weeks ago I noticed the flight stopped appearing on the Swiss air website but was still on my United Ap..I immediately called Flights by Celebrity and United and they both said the flight was not canceled..so I let it go Fast forward to this morning and the flight from JFK to ZHR was gone..however the ZHR to FCO was still there…not very useful I immediately called United thinking once I was ticketed I would be able to make changes to the reservation..the United agent said they could switch me to a non-stop out of EWR which I was thrilled with until he looked further and said I needed to call the agency that I booked it with to make the changes. I quickly called Flights by Celebrity only to be told that it could take up to a month to make the changes… I was floored. Who knows what kind of availability there will be in a month with all the cancellations going on… who knows when Flights by Celebrity would of let me know of the cancellation to begin with.. so buyer beware…it was a great fare but if anything goes wrong you may not be able to get things handled in the manner you would like.

Thanks for all the great advice…the excursion from the ship you need to have a flight after 5…I will see where Rome cabs can take us.

Trying to figure out what to do after debarking the Edge on September 10th. We have a 3:00 flight on British Air to LHR with a connection to JFK. Not sure what the latest time we can get off the ship is… we were planning on using Rome Cabs but was trying to avoid being at the airport 5 hours before the flight. Although with the stories I have read you seem to need a lot of time…any suggestions on how to spend the day

Booked on Edge I September …somewhat confused about what time to book my private excursion…I was debating for awhile if I would do a ship excursion or private and now the one I wanted to do only has one spot left…looking to book a private one on Viator but not sure what time to have it start…the port time is 12-10 if we arrive on time but then we have to tender ( we are in the retreat so should have a priority tender) but then you have to take the cable car up…anyone have any idea how much time we should give us to meet our guide?
