  1. Yes, thank you!!! I'm sailing on July 19 and these pics are making me that much more excited!

Question- those little teddy bears... Are those only in certain staterooms?

Are they still doing the towel animals?

I'm pretty sure those are just in the Family Harbour rooms

  2. The fact that other lanai guests could see me on my private area was enough for me to not book one (let alone pay the prices). I have a feeling Vista is going to be the only ship with these cabins as they'll be modified for her sister.

I am sure John said something about wristbands/keycards only allowing guests to pass through certain areas in Havana? Although that does beg the question can people bring guests with them? The only way around this is havingstaffing on the doors.

I am a bit jealous of those that booked the Havana balconies above deck 5 though! :)

Front porch living is what I call it :) My neighbors can see me on my front porch too...I think it will be a different social experience. I normally like total privacy but love trying new things! Of course, it probably doesn't hurt that I'm with a group and my neighbors on either side are family.

  3. I'll take a guess at it.

Havana interior areas open to all 24/7

Havana pool area open only to Havana guests until 5 pm, then all.

Havana Lanai area open only to Havana guests 24/7.

Hopefully and I assume the outdoor Havana bar is for guests only until 5 as well. Would be too hard to enforce otherwise. And of course, how this will all be enforced is the question! I would like to have guests on my patio...but fully understand them not going into the pool area.

So, is that brown divider what goes to the cabanas? Might the lanai be private?? Still waiting to hear how the area in front of the cabanas will work! Also, the is the outside bar that is private until 5pm, yes?

  5. Exactly. no less and probably more than those with balconies on that side. It will depend on the time of day and direction of the ship at the time. Not really planning on laying around on my lanai for the day....would prefer whatever's going on on the island, around the ship or at the Havana Pool. To each his own! We didn't get the Cabana to lay out in the sun, but for the social aspect of these cabins. I kind of wished more people could walk past. I would put my feet up and say, "yes, this is MY cabin" and give them a "cheers" with my cocktail in hand.

Ha! I'm also looking forward to the social aspect of the cabanas! We've got several of them together and that will be fun too!

  6. Wow....an updated mock up pick from Carnival...just went on Carnival website and they have new mock up photos of the back of the ship. So for any of you in a Havana balcony on 6 or 7 you are in for a treat! The dividers are not the ugly metal ones. They are the pretty rattan like woven ones in the Havana cabins on 5. Also the balcony furniture is Havana and we have lounge chairs back there as well! I am in an aft wrap on 6 and the balcony is enormous with really pretty furniture!

    This is awesome!

  7. Why are these called chairs? They certainly are not chairs, You don't stretch out in a chair, you sit in one. And they look like they must be blown up and deflated to be put away. Who will blow them up?

If you must take a chair why not take a foldable beach chair- the ones that keep you off the sand.

However with over 100 cruises we have always found a chair or chaise. Granted we may have had to move them to where we wanted them but always found one.

You don't blow them up...that's the coolest part about them. Watch the video.

  8. You could probably get away with using it on your balcony. But, if you have a standard size balcony, you'd have to take the other furniture off (chairs and table). And, you'd have to have it anchored down in some way. If you got up to go inside, to go to the bathroom or get something from your cabin, seems like there would be a good chance that it would blow overboard (except when in port). As an alternative, why not bring in the furniture and put your mattress out there? I'd bet other people have done that.

Vista Havana Cabana room. By all accounts so far the patios are pretty large. And the glass wall outside the patio on the lanai is pretty high. I think it'll be mostly for the beaches but I bet we'll get some use on the patio on a sea day or something. But, you are right...sort of a pain if it's a high wind day!

  9. The product name is a grammatical error. That alone would keep me from buying it! ;)

Ah the grammar police too ;)

But, isn't that like saying iPhone isn't a real word and therefore a grammatical error?? Brand names are often made up. I think they are German

  10. But, since the rule police are here.....the above list doesn't include pool toys of any kind. Like, for instance an inflatable mat...which this seems more like to me. Again, for use on my private patio/balcony.

  11. Just amazed that people agree to terms and conditions when they book but then want to ignore them.

But hey it's all about you I guess.

Oh good grief it's a cool new item I found which I think would be great to take on a vacation. And, as pointed out...it's not a beach chair anyways [emoji849]

  12. I can see why taking chairs onboard would be banned. Can you imagine how hard it would be to walk through the lido deck of everyone started bring their own chairs? It would be a nightmare. I mean no offense OP, but just not a good idea.

Well I was sort of kidding about the open decks...but I'm seriously considering for my patio.

  13. How fun! We were looking at those, but not for a cruise.

With the wind on deck, you may find yourself watching it fly away as you fill it!

Well that is probably very true! However, would be great for port days and I'm thinking also for my patio on the Vista
