We purchased one of these packages several years ago. It was a one litre bottle and it came with 6 mixers of our choice and a box of mixed nuts. If you wanted more mixers you would then have to purchase them if you didn’t have a drinks package,

Thank you very much!  Doesn’t seem like a good value to me.

  2. Does anyone know what this drink package includes?  I see you choose your alcohol and they provide soda, tonic, and ginger ale. It says for the length of the cruise but does not indicate how much you get or if you can replenish at all.  Thanks in advance.

  3. We have a deluxe balcony on Seashore in two weeks.  Just got an offer to bid for YC and am considering it.  I already purchased a drink package and wi-fi.  If accepted in the YC, can I get a refund for the drink and wi-fi package I previously bought?

  4. Can anyone recommend a hotel in Florence within walking distance to Ponte Vecchio and Duomo?  Somewhere between the two looks good, but since we have never been there maybe someone familiar may have a better recommendation.  We are looking for something for $300 max and in a safe area.  When looking at Google Maps, I have found a few but only have the reviews on line to compare.  Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!  TIA

I really like Siena -- it's big enough to have interesting things to do that will occupy a good part of a day. When we went there a couple of years ago I booked a very interesting walking tour* that gives you a lot of information about the rivalry between the various neighborhoods (I think they are called contrada) that culminates in the bareback horse race held in the huge piazza. The tour takes you into various places you would not be able to access on your own, such as the headquarters for one of the contrada, as well as other places like small neighborhood churches (where the horses are blessed!) but also the two main cathedrals. I found it one of the more interesting tours I've taken.

San Gimignano is charming but small. There are some standardized day tours from Florence that include both San Gimignano and Siena. I don't think S.G. would occupy more than a scant half-day on its own.

Lucca is nice too and could occupy a day.  Of the three mentioned, though, I would recommend Siena.

(If you are on the fence, watch this documentary about the Palio race, and catch the fever! Palio (2015 film) - Wikipedia )

*If interested I can search out the walking tour info. The man who led it was obviously a real part of the fabric of Siena. Every place we went people knew him and greeted him.

If possible, can you find the tour information?  We may be be interested.

There definitely are morning trains because we took one two weeks ago from Termini to Civi.  I think they left around every 30 minutes.  We had to be out of our Airbnb at 10, and from there we took an Uber to the train station, got our tickets, and made the 10:42 train.  I think the next was at 11:12 or something like that.

We will each have one 25" rolling luggage and backpack.  Are there steps or escalators to get to and from the platform at Termini or Civi?  And once we arrive in Civi, is it easy to get to the port?

Currently on the MSC Meraviglia and we are docked at Ocean Cay. Shortly after 4:30 (didn’t have clock near me) we had a man overboard. Announcement says person was recovered in the water, is conscious and receiving medical attention. I don’t have any further details. We are docked port side so I assume it was not off the port side.

Glad the lady will be ok. Totally off topic, do you know if there was a Caribbean (jerk chicken) night on board the 4 nite cruise?  It is my least favorite menus and am planning my specialty dinner night for this Sunday’s cruise. Thank you.

re the Carousel shows, Wife and I enjoyed both of them…funny how tastes run differently in that regard. Choices are good.

    White night party was fun.

Agree on the private island, beautiful.

Can you tell me what the 2 shows are?  We board on the 26th and need to plan ahead if interested. Thank you.

I think you need more coffee.  Ginger ale is available through the bar soda guns.  How else could they make highballs?  No diet ginger ale but the regular is absolutely there.  I come from a long line of bartenders and that is always one of the options along with some type of cola, sprite, club soda & plain water.

Do you happen to know if sour mix would come from the soda gun.  Either that or a lemonade?

You need the BinaxNow proctored test, which is the one with the red stripe on the box, not the other one. You take it with a proctor over a zoom type call, and your results are posted to the app and sent to you.

We have had good success in having the front desk of our hotels print out a copy of the results document for us.

Thank you. I have the store version so it isn’t proctored. I was hoping this would all go away.

We took our BinaxNow tests with us to London. We tested in our hotel room 3 days ahead of boarding. We used our IPhone and the WiFi at the hotel was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. We e-mailed the results to our e-mail and the front desk printed out our results for us.

This was NOT a mega hotel chain. There was no computer in the lobby. The staff were amazing.

We had a back-up plan for a local pharmacy if this fell through.

If you have a BinaxNow test kit, who do you call to get official results that Princess will accept?

If the Princess tour is full the park service also sells the Tundra Wilderness tour cheaper than Princess. We were unable to

upgrade our natural history tour for the tundra wilderness tour so had our TA cancel the Princess tour and then we booked through the park service.

I tried getting a credit for the Natural History tour from Princess and book the Tundra directly and it turned into a nightmare of over 20 hours on the phone to fix the mess they created. Hope you have better luck.
