  1. We too were on this cruise and found the Anytime Dining to be a challenge. The first night, when we arrived at 5:30, the line was so long we just went to the buffet. We like to have a table for two so for the remainder of the cruise, we would get to Michelangelo when it opened at 5 pm (1/2 hour earlier than usual). On the second night of the cruise, we were seated at a table with an excellent waiter so we tried to make reservations to be at his table for the remainder of the cruise, but were told that no more reservations were being made although eight tables for 2 in that section were already reserved. I feel that reservations were a major part of the Anytime Dining problem on this cruise.

For each of the 4 nights that we sat in that section two tables did not have guests until 6-6:15; three of those tables would remain open until after 6:30! I have no idea of what time the reservations were made, but with the lines waiting to come in, those reservations should have been handled differently. Other guests could have come and gone by the time the reservation guests arrived, if they did at all.

Another table for 4 was also left open on two nights in the same section waiting for reserved guests. There also seemed to be quite a bit of confusion in our section with people being seated at tables for four and then asked to move to other tables after several minutes on tow occasions.

I think that reservations for Anytime Dining should either be eliminated or made for when the dining room opens and at intervals of 1.5 hours. Also, If people are going to make reservations and then decide to dine elsewhere, they should have the common courtesy of calling the dining room and cancelling. And at the very least, Princess should give the table to those waiting no longer than 15 minutes after the the reserved guest has not arrived. I am sure that would have helped tremendously on this cruise.

  2. Pia, I gladly filled out the questionnaire! Since others have had their FCC post sooner, I hope the issue with her had been addressed. I usually just fill out the forms and place in the mailbox but since we wanted to take advantage of the great promotions in January, I wanted to talk to the rep first. You can be sure we will keep enough FCC banked from now on to avoid that!

  3. We were on the 12/14 Ruby cruise and I was one of the first ones to meet with the rep right after sail away. I wanted to make a deposit with the hopes that when I got off the ship on the 18th I would contact mt TA to discuss which cruise I wanted to take. (Usually they are posted within 24 hours) She was extremely rude and proceeded to tell me that it would be at least a week before it would be posted because she is extremely busy. I wasn't expecting that from her so it threw my thinking off. I then asked if she could hold it and let me call down and leave a message as to whether to proceed with it or not. She told me that she wasn't taking messages or answering emails. In fact she was just so far behind and especially since there was no internet the day before (really?, I know it's slow but...). Frankly, I was surprised that she was talking to a passenger the way she was. I ended up requesting 2,FCC's from her via her mailbox on the 17th which were finally posted on the 24th. I really think she needs to be replaced.

  4. We were on the Crown April 17th sailing and did not receive and invitation. I always bring all my patters and miscellaneous papers home and looked through them again - not there!

I knew about it so we did go up 2 evenings and there was one group of four the first time and no one the second. It was very relaxing to sit and have a drink and appetizer before going to dinner, I would really hate for this perk to go away because of poor attendance!

Princess should be sure that all eligible passengers receive the invitation and I am sure more would attend.
