  1. Sounds so awesome!! Please keep us posted on how it goes😁
  2. We take our DDs every so often now (21 & 23) but it’s getting more like me and DH moving forward on cruises. It’s hard not bringing them along😔
  3. My Apple Watch says I burn 14 calories dragging my carry on up to my stateroom. 👍😁
  4. From what I understand, fresh juices are NOT included in CHEERS. Before you order, ask if it's included in the CHEERS program. Have a great cruise!!
  5. Awesome report!! Glad your wife recovered and was able to take part on the cruise. So many funny comments/observations: Our daughter grudgingly dropped us off, talking about how a cowoker's dad paid his daughter for a ride to the airport. Big spender here…I think I almost qualified for a free glass of tap water…not quite at the iced tap water yet though. I don’t need to pay that much to know I’m old! (I hear you!!) Come see the movie version Thanks for taking the time to write this up!! Love Magic and it was fun seeing it through your eyes!😺 So when's the next cruise?😉
  6. I guess worse case scenario is try to bring on a bottle from a port and if they take it away then you know your parameters. I know I wouldn't want to buy CHEERS for that long of a cruise and if it's port-intensive then you're buying drinks off ship. I hope OP gets the info they need👍
  7. So you two don't gamble but you got this RU4 promo. Nice!!
  8. Good to know! I sent an email to my PVP as well so we shall see! Thanks again!
  9. FYI, you can't use Carnival gift cards for Australian Carnival cruises. I have used them for Europe, Bermuda and Caribbean. I get the digital ecards and save them in my Apple Wallet. BTW, congrats on your pending nuptials!!🥰
  10. I haven't used points so I believe you don't need to. Just my credit card😺
  11. Re your Italy trip, are you taking the Cinque Terre train? I was watching Tastemade last night and they featured this train. Sounds interesting!! PS Tastemade bites because it freezes then starts up and you miss part of the show. FYI.
  12. Are you an AARP member? I believe you need to be a member to access Carnival gift cards. I just looked at my AARP rewards site and there are $450 and $100 Carnival gift cards available for purchase at 10% off. I've never used points when purchasing.
  13. September 5, 2024. I have never been on a cruise ship that has been docked for multiple days thus my confusion. I did find a ship excursion that has a start time of 8:15 but most ship excursions for that day start after 10am.
  14. I am jealous!! DH and I will be on Miracle June 8-20, 2025 (longest cruise for us ever!!) out of Dover. Probably fly into London Friday, June 6 then after our cruise spend a few days in London then fly out Sunday, June 22. B2B is on my bucket list until DH can retire. Or I win lotto. Whatever comes first😉
  15. Now this is puzzling me a bit...we are on Carnival Pride this September and according to the itinerary we arrive in port at Dockyard at 8am on Wednesday. On Thursday (the next morning) the itinerary says "10:00am". Does that mean passengers are not let off the ship till 10:00am on Thursday? I would like to leave for the ferry early, like 8am. TIA!!
  16. I love seeing and tasting all of the different preparations, like when the chefs make a liquid into little caviar-like balls or a foam. Just don't use beets. Beets taste like dirt.😉
  17. DH and I kinda did the same/not same strategy with our Med cruise. Flew in 4.5 days before embarkation. If something went sideways (airline delay, train strike, whatever) we would pivot. Trying to be flexible if needed but hoping it all went well, like your trip! I still say you are a THRILLSEEKER!! (Remember that TV show from the 70's with people doing adventurous things?) 😉👍
  18. Thanks for the info! Please let Chef Michael know we shall see him at The Foodie School for "Sliced" on April 22👍👨‍🍳😸
  19. Speaking of money, have you checked out AARP discount gift cards for Carnival? You need a membership, don't have to be 50 or over anymore and you can apply your gift cards to pay off your cruise fare, excursions, specialty restaurants, pretty much everything on board and save 10%. I've been using them on all my cruises and the savings really add up.
  20. Just watch out for spiders! That's what my Dad would say🤣
  21. @EllaDuChien do you know about this issue? 😁
  22. Was the mini snickers part of the drink? Great pic with the glasses!!
