From my recent Travel Summary under Special Services:

    • Complimentary Gratuities - $406.00
    • Complimentary Gratuities - $406.00
    • Water Package (3) - $21.24
    • Catena High Mountain Vines Malbec (2 gifted from TA) - $87.32
    • Onboard Credit (Loyalty that appeared 5 days before cruise) - $50

I’ve also had OBC my TA paid to gift to us in that location however TA Group OBC was listed with other types of OBC which is viewable through the Cruise Personalizer’s Payments tab.

All your items seem to be items you've paid for or gifts except for the onboard loyalty credit. My Travel Summary shows an OB credit of $25 for some reason in addition to my usual Loyalty credit.

This appeared a week before we leave and the next day the Loyalty showed up. It's got me puzzled as all the other credits show under the Payment section. Like Military,  Future Cruise Deposit, Shareholder, Travel Agent Grp Promotion.

Why that $25 was singled out to be in the Summary section is weird.

I am not totally sure with the loyalty credit, but when I could not find the PBP, the Princess rep directed me to TRAVEL SUMMARY and boarding pass, then "PRINT TRAVEL SUMMARY". There it was! Might try that. Good luck.

Besides the loyalty OB credit what other types of credit appear in the "PRINT TRAVEL SUMMARY" section? It's strange that they would separate OB credit into different sections.

Why not put all the credit in the same section so it's less confusing.

I think many on CC have mentioned that this issue is important to them.

It's important to me to have the extra room.

I guess we'll just have to wait & see if Princess feels it's worthwhile to put the chairs back to satisfy those people who will leave Princess because of it......but I wouldn't hold my breath.

There's been bigger issues in the past where nothing was done.

Who is the us you are speaking of?   At least 99% of the posts I've read on this

topic lament the loss of the chair.   Your's might actually be the only post

I've read that is happy with the chair being removed...

Count us in on the chair removal.

It would be so bad if they would remove it if asked.

We will be cruising in a few months, the first time with Medallion Net.  I’ve looked for experiences using Medallion Net for streaming shows and music, but haven’t been able to find discussions.  Princess says streaming will work for shows and music, but I’m a bit leary.  Has anybody REALLY been able to listen to streaming music such as Apple Music or XM Radio?

This all assuming that you purchase the unlimited internet package of course.

We were told about two years ago  (Princess official) that someday they would be streaming their movies that are available in the cabins to you devices anywhere on the ship.

I haven't hear anything more about that since.

I'm beginning to think the comment was just hopeful.

Oh really?.....there was a lot of complaining on CC when the Royal Class ships first came out and there was no center stair well for passenger use.....WALLAH!!  Passenger center stairwells have made an appearance on Royal class ships now!!!

I really believe the stairwell situation was changed due to other reasons and not from passenger complaints. Just look at the number of people complaining about the loud levels of music throughout all of Princess ships over the years and still they continue with it....possibly even louder lately.

If Princess were to listen to all the complaints from passengers dissatisfied with every little thing and implement them the ships would never be able to sail. They do what they feel is the best & most economic decision for profits and if it doesn't sit well with certain customers I'm sure a few will be lost along the way but in the long run some people will just have to tolerate it or choose another cruise line. (just look at the coffee cards for instance)

Each elite can bring someone with them. My husband and I are elite and we bring our three kids along with us of course. Doubt they would quibble over the extra kid. I could see if one elite was trying to bring along five or six extras.

There's a big difference between bringing all your kids with you or just some random person you've met on the ship.

Yes, I figured that. Colo Cruiser was talking about the Terrace Pool aft being shallow, which makes me happy. I agree, the steps in the deeper pools are always congested with hangers-on, which may include me😉

I haven't quite understood why they don't make one end deeper & the other shallow enough to stand in.

Those stairs do get crowded at times.

I cannot remember what the prize was, it would not have been much.   The accolade of being thought of as a genius to a complete and utter idiot I suppose.   Has anyone else participated in Princess'  "Elevator Roulette" that sounded interesting.

    Regards John

All they do is cover up the number indicator & you pick an elevator that arrives next. Again, no great prizes.

I participated in an egg drop on a Princess cruise. There were about twenty entrants but only two of these participants successfully dropped an egg which did not break, mine and another guy.  The tie breaker was done and my egg received about three times the volume of applause than the other guys.   I got the idea from "conkers" the fruit of the Aesculus Hippocastanum tree which fall in a spiky husk then on falling from the tree are cushioned and the conkers are generally unharmed even if they come free.  Basically I acquired as large and ripe a melon I could get and cut it in half.  Hollowed out a void the size and shape of an egg.  At the start line I kept it hidden in a carrier bag and when given the egg put it into the void and sellotaped the two halves back together.  I went last and got the melon out and simply dropped it.  It made an unholy mess but the egg was intact with no cracks. I think the crowd appreciated the mess as some got too close which amused people.  Americans seem to still like  slap-stick to some extent.  Later on in the cruise one or two people identified me and called me "Melon Guy".

    Regards John

What was your prize for winning?

Perfect for a non swimmer like me! I found that on the Regal Retreat Pool at 5+ ‘ I had to hang on tge side for dear life! Lol.
    Love Madiera!

I believe the Sky retreat pool is also as deep as the other Royal class ships where almost everyone congregates around the steps. :classic_sad:

One of the best laughs we had watching one of these competitions was when a man used his wife's undies to pad the egg. He was glad it didn't break so he didn't have to tell her what he used to win a bottle of champagne.

Wow. The the prizes to all the winners have been reduced to coasters, wine stoppers & bags lately.

  13. Depending on the ship some will allow you to use packing like Styrofoam and bubble wrap while other ships won't.

Here are the rules for the Crown Princess. They do check the eggs afterwards to see if they're hard boiled. :classic_laugh:

    This might help!

I am thinking that most ship excursions involve a lot of travel time and 'shopping' time, with very little beach time.

That all depends on how much of a kick back they receive from the shops. :classic_laugh:

I know!  I always bring home several tubes of the lotion to use at home.  Now won't be able to!  Think this is more life changing than the bar of soap vs.liquid soap !!  Guess I will just have to bring empty bottles and fill them up! NOOOOOOOO, I didn't say that, nope didn't say that!!

    Pooh

P.S.  By the way, I won't be doing this.  Easier just to buy at home, but it was nice to bring home tubes while it lasted!

Great idea. I'm glad you thought of it. :classic_rolleyes:
