It is 'Most Travelled Passenger' - MTP. Maybe the previous poster (wallyj) had a typo with the abbreviation 'MTG'.
Makes sense.
Thanks.

A number of people here seem to think it's incredibly "funny" to constantly refer to the Steward as "Stewart". This was a somewhat common error among people who mistook the two names/titles/whatever. People here thought it was "funny" and have perpetuated it by repeating it over and over and over... It ends up confusing people who honestly believe what they read here. I really wish they would stop. It's neither funny nor clever.
It makes me wonder about their sense of humor.

Just a little clarification regarding the MTG event, it is not the most traveled 40 couples but the top20 passengers and guest for a total of up to 40 guests.
What does the G in the "MTG" acronym stand for?
Is it the Most Traveled Group ???
Or the Most Traveled Gathering ???

As do I. Need to find out before my Grand cruise 1/27,
They still has the regular non sugar packs on the Regal as of Sunday. One of the crew did say they were going to switch to dispensers soon.
Who knows when.

Wow, and just wow to you for bringing politics into this discussion.
i have no problem with loyalty programs. I belong to a number and benefit from them.
I objected being called lower class. I think (at least I hope) the poster meant to say a lower loyalty tier.
I believe it's the connotation of "lower class" that's so upsetting to you but I'm not sure why as it has absolutely nothing to do with your status in life. I'm lower classed on many lines & just accept it although I could do something to improve my status if I chose to but keep returning back to Princess to get all those great perks as well as a decent cruise. Nothing wrong with wishing for something more.
Keep Princess great !

Did you really refer to non-elites as lower class??? Seriously?

Some folks take themselves too seriously. How a horn blast that lasts but a few seconds upsets you so much is beyond my comprehension. Carnival atmosphere at the muster drill? Are you actually longing for the days they mustered on deck packed in like sardines? Special note for @K.T.B. Bah Humbug!😁
Never on Princess. You must be thinking of another cruise line.

I hope they stop. It’s cringe worthy with the cheesy horn blowing and awful music with the safety drill. Makes me think I am on Carnival.
Yep, the Regal still blows that cheesy horn every time they get the chance.
They've also turned the muster drill into a carnival atmosphere.

Maybe other pax are hoarding for later onboard or home use
That could be but why only ones specific brand of sweetener?

Some feel entitled just because they spend more than others. It's quite funny that it's still a thing in 2019.
It's not that we spend more than others (I'm sure we don't) but simply the fact that were dedicated to certain cruise lines and deserve more perks than others with less sailing days.
Not hard to understand.

Wow. Just, wow.
So your thinking is that the more dedicated customers shouldn't deserve something more.
I guess by your standards everyone should get the same benefits even though they haven't sailed Princess as many times.
Sounds like some of the politicians I've been listening to lately.

Are they also eliminating packets of artificial sweeteners? If so, how are those sweeteners being handled? I was on the Regal from Oct. 31 through Nov. 10 and by the 8th or 9th there was not a packet of Splenda to be found on the ship. Maybe there was a secret stash somewhere "in the back" that your server could get for you if you knew the secret handshake. I had to settle for Equal those last couple of days. I know ... yet another first world problem
We just got off the Regal & yes there was a shortage of Splenda for some reason. In the early mornings you would see it but as the day progressed it got harder to find. Very strange.

We just got off today & yes it is cold in most parts of the ship.I think the warmest area is the Horizon court.

I have OBC from my 3 for free booking and shareholder OBC. I just got my beverages paid with the PBP so I won't need the OBC to subsidize the bar/coffee tab. Can I use this OBC to book excursions through the personalizer myself or do I need to go through the T/A to do it?
Thanks in advance.
Which cruise was that for?

the wait was because the 'upstairs' lounges were full due to delayed boarding because some idiot on the B2B from 12/1 was too important to meet at the assigned time for intransit passengers going on 12/1 & 12/4
We were in the platinum lounge and you didn't miss anything at all ...
So much for all the good the Medallions do for locating passengers. 😄

Hey guys when I said Ring will prosper it was tongue in cheek. If the day comes that I need a ring door bell on a cruise ship I'll be done cruising. I believe on the whole that cruisers are honest folks on a vacation and these petty crimes are the exception not the norm. Many years ago a fanny pack left in the theatre was never turned in so I know first hand not everyone is going to do the right thing but ya gotta keep faith that most people are good.
Fortunately for the most part they are honest. I've even had someone turn in a microchip I lost with my photo's on it. 😄
They could have easily kept the $30 card & never said a word.

Ring has a special screw so they can't easily tamper with it. Could someone pry it off the wall, sure, but they are on video, so there is that.
I was thinking along the line of a pry bar or large screwdriver. If no one is home by the time they can do much about it the unit would be gone.
I think a better solution would be just a monitor camera or mounting it up high where it can't be easily be reached without a ladder.
Besides that there now hacking into the ring system to gain access to your complete network including you computer. You can't win.

And, you can watch your last video -- as someone walks up and steals your doorbell camera.
I'm wondering how long before that happens.
Is the doorbell the complete system or are there other components inside the home to work with the unit?
If it's a standalone unit it wouldn't take long to rip it off the wall.
With a disguise of course. 👹

Does anyone really believe Security and staff don't have other priorities?
I think they have a special division dedicated to look for stolen door decorations. 😉 LOL😄

I continue to walk the halls looking for the door decoration you describe. Nothing yet. A picture would be helpful.
It would be silly to use it immediately- They'll just save it for their next cruise.
-
In the past we used magnets for our decorations & they usually disappeared regularly so we now use tape.
Another thing is that if you make the decorations too nice as the OP did, they'll take everything, so keep it simple & unique for the door & hang the better decorations inside the cabin.

I wonder if they're like that when conversing face to face with their friends.
Sad.
