1. I called the Redemption Dept. yesterday and was able to redeem 3 $500 vouchers worth 50,000 each and 1 $15,000 voucher worth 15,000 points, so I cost me 165,000 points-not as good as the 125,000 free cruise voucher, but better than just doing OBC. I am 2 weeks from final payment so they said my travel agent would get this and apply it in time.

  2. If you are redeeming for a cruise booked with the BOGOHO sale, you will not be able to use the free cruise voucher. However, I found out yesterday by researching the cruise critic forum-and was able to redeem 3 $500 vouchers worth 50,000 points a piece and 1 $15,000 voucher worth 15,000 points to get my cruise for almost free. It did cost me 165,000 points, so not as good as the 125,000 voucher, but in order to do the free one they did a mock repricing and it would have cost me something like $1,700 out of pocket, so it still was a much better deal in the long run. I called the redemption dept. and they put this thru. I am 2 weeks out for final payment, so they assured me the travel agent I used would receive this. Good luck!

  3. The Captain had his function the night we were in the Chef's table and that was also the first formal night.

The second formal night was Wednesday night after leaving Ketchikan.

We are cruising the SB route on August 10, 2012. One question, you stated that 2nd formal night was Wednesday night after leaving Ketchikan, but I looked at your compasses and they say 2nd formal night is after leaving Icy Strait Point. Do you know which is correct? I want to tell our friends which nights are formal for planning purposes.

  4.
Once points are redeemed, you will come to a page that requests name, phone number, email, etc. There is a comment box at the bottom of that page.

In the Comment Box list Ship, Sailing Date, Booking Number, Amount of Points. If you are redeeming for more than one cruise, list each cruise on a separate line within the comment box.

You should really redeem points about 2 months prior to departure. They apply points by earliest to latest departure dates.
cruisenfever, I have redeemed points for a free cruise twice under the old system. Since I had to send off and wait for them to come in the mail, I did this way before final payment was due.

Assuming someday the redemption site is up and I can do the redemption online, do I still need to apply 2 months in advance to be safe? Also, can I do this after final payment and get credited back for the free cruise amount even if I have no balance on my cruise? Thanks in advance.
  5. I browsed thru all of your compasses. Thanks for sharing! Does any one know what Johnny Rockets serves when it isn't lunchtime or before they start serving dinner? We are thinking of going there one night for a quick dinner on the day they have Chicago at 7pm. We were thinking 5 or 5:30, but that is before they start serving dinner. If all else fails since nothing opens before 6, then we will probably have Sorrento's pizza or Cafe Promenade sandwiches.
