  1. RCI does not require passports to have 6 months remaining on your passport for closed loop cruises. Think about it. You have a birth certificate and a drivers license that let's you sail all the time but a valid passport with less than 6 months validity left is no good. Doesn't make any sense.
  2. doesn't apply to closed loop cruises from U.S. as already mentioned. Cruise ship pax are considered "in transit" which is not the same as a person staying overnight for any length of days.
  3. Think this is pretty spot on. If you haven't cruised in 3 years you'll lose your status and AFAIK you can't do another status match.
  4. I agree. Used to be you'd gone 4 hours and come back and there were so many new post a lot of the previous post 4 hours ago would be on page 2. Now I come back 4 hours later and there might be 6 new post.
  5. And what is your personal experience with Carnival? 2 cruises, 20 cruises?
  6. friends of ours that are cruising with us did this. They got the discount and MSC sent a new confirmation. The total he owed after the discount was more than before he called as they repriced their cabin. Since they booked direct it took many hours to get it close to straightened out. Still not correct but I told him to leave well enough alone.
  7. It's on almost all cruises and it's not free. I wouldn't even call it a sale, although it is cheaper than buying it on the ship.
  8. Thanks for the reply on the suitcases. The room steward did leave a lot to be desired. Hope your next cruise is better.
  9. Sorry that doesnt always work. We had problems with our dining and went to see Maitre’d first and second night of cruise. His reply, ship is full, nothing I can do. Too bad, so sad. Also we are cruising with a couple in April on Seashore. They called to get their Voyager discount as they just had signed up after booking. They gave him the discount and raised the price of his cruise to more than when he first cruised. Most of the issues happening with MSC don’t usually happen on other cruise lines and if they do they are quickly remedied. Oh yeah, 58 days since canceling an excursion and still waiting for a refund.
  10. Curious to know why you didn't put your suitcases under the bed, or at least 2 of the 3? I wonder if you had the same cabin steward as we had on our cruise. We were in 9181. Never met him or saw him til the last night when we came back from dinner. He was not on par with any room stewards I have ever had in 40 cruises.
  11. You should have had gold cards from day 1.
  12. Loved the beignets at Emerils although they werent free but minimal cost. The shrimp po boy they cheaped out on.
  13. I will never experience the difference because I wont be in a YC cabin, ever. I have cruised on the Celebration already so I know of what you speak. I was just pointing out the grab and go options that are available outside on deck 15. There is also a soft serve machine and a bar out there. While I agree there is no comparison in the amount of different free lunch options, there are grab and go options, just not like Carnivals options which are way better.
  14. it must have been dirt cheap. I remember flying to Florida from the northeast for like $59 each way. 😁
  15. Disney doesn't even advertise the prices for wifi for you to preorder. Love the wifi on the CCL Celebration. got speeds up to 138mbps. not too shabby.
  16. I'd say you got a great deal. I don't see any other YIN's with that price point I tried the same week a year later and it's about $3700. Enjoy your cruise in the YC. IT is outstanding in there according to most reviews.🙂
  17. Most YIN's I have checked out are about 4K. I only was looking at cruises that depart from the states. Maybe the ones in Europe are cheaper.
  18. You don't consider Burgers, Hot dogs, pizza, and fries as grab and go?
  19. was this recent, during covid, pre covid? You call and you are opening Pandora's box.
  20. A lot of people say that they wouldn't cruise MSC if there wasn't a YC. I can't afford that so I'll never know. After day 2 on our MSC cruise it started to feel like a regular cruise on any mass market line. I may be mistaken but I think they are working on coming to Galveston.
