  1. of course more people are going to opt for traditional early if the earliest you can get is 8pm for mytime.
  2. This what i call the hump. On deck 16 where the hump is,that is where the beach pool is I believe so no cabins on the hump on that deck. The only difference in our 2 cabins is that our balcony is bigger.
  3. thank you everybody for all the replies and helpful information. 😀
  4. I won't do that but the theater is where I draw the line. lol
  5. post 6 posted what I've read on X's website!
  6. cool! hope you have a great time. We had that cabin booked on Horizon but it got canceled due to the pandemic.
  7. stop you are going to make me loose my lunch! I mean lose!
  8. We just got off Oasis last Sunday and agree with you. Went to the doctors today and I gained 6 pounds. Food must have been good on our cruise. I will say that the choices in the windjammer were a lot less but we still found something satisfying to eat.
  9. It's been a long time since we have cruised on X so we might as well be newbies. Looking at maybe booking a cruise for next year. Are they really that strict that you can't wear shorts into the theater? I can understand the dining room Also if you are diamond with Royal does that give you any kind of benefit on Celebrity?
  10. you would be correct. They are a home run on Vista class. Not so good on excel. Couldn't even get a lounger on Celebration a couple days and the pool is a joke compared to Vista class ships. We booked the Jubilee but decided not to waste our money on the Havana area. Got a balcony on the hump on 14.
  11. do you ever book the sideways interiors Havana rooms?
  12. had havana cabanas twice. Don't think I saw our neighbors but a couple times all week. I sat out there while the Mrs. got ready and like stated earlier most people are in the Havana area itself and not on their balconies.
  13. I was on the Fantasy in September. I wore a pair of nice pants and a polo for formal night. I was way overdressed. People were coming into the dining room with shorts, tees, and flip flops, backwards ball caps etc.
  14. $20 a day sounds like a bargain. Just paid $30 a day from Bayonne last week and $45 a day in June from Brooklyn
  15. my wife used to use the patch and always told me that she never gets sick. I asked her, " how do you know you wouldn't be OK without it"? She finally gave in and tried a cruise without the patch and has never looked back. We just came back from 2 cruises that were rocking and rolling and she came through unscathed.
  16. The lines for mtd on the Oasis went on and on and you couldn’t figure out where the end of the line was because there were so many people. Even if not required it still doesn’t start until 6:45 pm. It’s a flawed system.
  17. I think you must be extremely lucky. I booked our times the first day we were eligible and got 7:45pm. We eat at 6 everyday at home. The later I eat the harder it is to sleep at night with acid reflux. When we book another Royal cruise I’ll pick early dining for sure.
  18. I didn't know that anytime dining started at 6;30 to 7 pm. I used to pick it all the time and went around 6 or so. I won't make that mistake again. I'll pick early. We only went to the mdr 3 times during the week. Ate elsewhere the other nights. When we got in line at anytime they told us we are early and that our reservation was 8:30pm. After some back and forth they found us a table. Each time we went to the MDR we did this and one night they took us upstairs to another dining room. The waiter did not seem very happy with us.
  19. Hey we lucked out on Saturday heading back to Bayonne and the weather was beautiful. On the way down on Monday I still had my sweater on most of the day.
  20. There was a 5 day cruise on Grandeur I believe that left from Florida and was supposed to go to Port Canaveral? and Coco Cay the same day we were supposed to be there. They canceled both those ports and took them to Cozumel.
  21. We picked our dining times for anytime dining 7:45pm on our just completed Oasis cruise. We got the confirmation from Royal. We then picked out shows and times for shows. When we got on the ship all of our dining times were changed to 8:30pm. This then screwed up a couple shows we booked. So what is the point of picking your times when they just change them on you and don't let you know until you are on the ship?
