We love marella, as said the crew are great , itineraries are the best for fewest sea days , I suppose we either like medium size ships or monsters. I know what we prefer. But each to their own ,no one is right or wrong.

Almost certain decks 6 and up were refurbished with glass doors ,we was on 8 that had a door .

Sure there are no cabins on deck 9 or Discovery , there is on the Explorer.

Just thought as this was a marella cruise question someone from Discovery on a trip might have visited the beach .

Can anyone help with the charge for sun beds on this beach please .

Yes like you we did the USA cruise for two weeks, loved it , we also think it’s strange after investing so much money there , perhaps the port fees are to much and to many regulations, but we would do it again in a heartbeat. Off to the Far East in Jan with Marella .

Sadly the USA is no longer on Marella schedule.

Pool towels are in your cabin , no charge , soap dispenser in shower, small soap for sink , kettle with tea and coffee , no fridge in the upgraded cabins .

When we did this trip in feb this year the sun bed was included in the price , the roads are steep and windy but the views are lovely .

Hear hear , totally agree, I’m not into social media, but like many loyal Tui customers , I feel a little bit cheated, but good luck if you get a deal .

Wow you were lucky, when we tried to do that tui told us that upgrading to a balcony the cost would be what it was priced at when we booked originally, otherwise they said everyone would try to upgrade .

Not that we found anywhere , only the pool deck which was a bit manic , which is the Downside of the Discovery ships , we also loved the Mediterranean bar on the Explorer. On the ship in January for Asia .

We did this cruise it was awesome loved every minute, New York so much to see and do ,we did New York tour with tui, excellent full day , did the Big bus tour next day , all the ports were great apart from Freeport,only a little shopping stop ,most places not open as we docked early , Miami loved it , key west best ice cream ever , Charleston is a gorgeous town with a huge market , we were lucky we docked in Manhattan,the cruise down the Hudson was unreal , the view from onboard was beautiful ( I have posted a picture but it’s upside down, sorry) this was from our balcony, please just do the trip you won’t regret it , we would love to do it again but it’s only for this season .
