I have talked to the ta's (mine and two friends who are ta) and they all knew and are upset about it. One was on the icon naming and said many were talking about it.

My TA said they are seeing the same rates for solos. She said her celebrity rep recommended book double and then say your 2nd person is a no show. I told her I won't do that as 1) is lying and 2) celebrity will eventually have a no show penalty to stop this. As the poster said above, I prefer celebrity but I won't reward this behavior from them and will use other lines.

Will look at the one I am interested in. Looking at other lines which I have not done in five years because I like celebrity.

I am ok with double, i am not ok with more than double.

I was looking at Norway and transatlantic. None should be more than double, honestly. Glad some are priced fairly but really doesn't make up for the reality they are gouging solos

Anyone seen the 'corrected' pricing? Priced a few and solo still thousands more than 2 in the cabin combined.

Celebrities tech is dodgy at best. Would rather they treat it and get it right.

Some people are reporting the new info from celebrity is this is a 'glitch'. Hopefully that means they realized their error and will 'fix' it like they have with many of the other customer negative things they have rolled out.

I get the hotel room price. In the US rooms are booked by the room, not the number of people. As a solo I am fine paying what the room cost would be for two. Not more as they want. I enjoy cruises with other solos on it to meet new people and have fun. I usually go in Jan/Feb and book my next year's on board. Will not do that this year.

😂 Hopefully, but losing loyal customers trying out negative things isn't good business. Start with a focus group at least.

Yes, have done that as well. And will mention to the club rep on my upcoming cruise. Will check out MSC.

I often cruise solo and celebrities new policy of not just charging double but more than double for singles cruisers is very frustrating. Thankfully other cruise lines are more friendly to singles (sometimes only 1.5x) and are starting to match loyalty level. I will be spending my money where I am welcome and appreciated. Celebrity monitors this site, are others as frustrated?

I am the beyond next week so will see for myself. I find that many people like to complain. The worst food on a cruise for me was NCL right before COVID.

This not unique to celebrity. All the cruise lines are having to make changes based on debt incurred sure to COVID.
