  1. The elusive "wine by the bottle" list! The most comprehensive I've seen is on the app for Luminae, where most cruisers will not have access. I vaguely recall seeing a flder with a large wine by the bottle list and will seek to take pics from it when I sail in Feb. Of course with a drink package we rarely buy a bottle, but it's still nice to see what they have, as we have on a few occasions had a sommelier pour us a glass from bottles not normally sold by the glass.
  2. Greetings fellow Ottawan! Thanks for sharing - being informed of a successful "MoveUp" six weeks before cruise date is about the earliest I've seen. It looks like you bid well above the minimum - to go from the pricier Aqua Class to Sky Suite, the minimum is typically about CAD $90/day and you paid CAD $175/day. What was your minimum? Regardless, you're right, you got a Sky Suite (and all its benefits) for far less than it would have cost up-front.
  3. About 12 wines - 6 each of white and red and all quite pedestrian. A nice opportunity to try wines and use up some OBC. We'd do it again. Here's the one pic I have of the World Wine Tour on the Infinity in Fall 2022.
  4. No - it just means you placed a bid and no decision has been made.
  5. You mean you were accepted for a "Celebrity Suite", not "Concierge Class" (where you had been) - right?
  6. I heard somewhere that you'll be told no later than 48 hours before you cruise, so imagine youknow how.
  7. Interesting - first time I've seen a promo like this. Perhaps they'd like to see more bids? I imagine that whatever the algorithm that's used, the higher the bid, the greater the likelihood of success, regardless of the lowered entry bid price.
  8. I'm only guessing, but I think that it's not only how much you bid, but also how much your current Stateroom is in demand. For example if your current stateroom has been Sold Out for some time, Celebrity might see a benefit to you vacating it so that someone else can either MoveUp into it, or they can sell it outright to a new customer. Maybe Celebrity has Wait Lists to inform them.
  9. Every question I've seen so far could be answered by reading the FAQ's here: https://www.celebritycruises.com/ca/bid-on-cruise-room-upgrade Here's an example: Why did I or someone I’m traveling with not receive an invite to bid on a stateroom upgrade? To receive an email invitation to bid on a stateroom upgrade guest must be opted-in to Celebrity Marketing e-mails. To opt-in, to receive emails guests can sign up on our website, opt-in through the online check in process or within My Reservations section of website.
  10. It will be after final payment date (which is on Nov 27 for that cruise I think), and even though we go through a TA, we have always received an email with the offer sometime afterwards - as soon as a week, and as long as about six weeks.
  11. We were in that exact Stateroom on the Beyond in February. The obstruction was a non-issue for us. We MovedUp from AquaClass for the minimum bid, and were thrilled with the value at a bit more than half what it would have cost to book a Sky Suite for the start. Luminae is very nice (and so is Blu - we did a B2B and were Aqua Class the second week), Priority Boarding is great, we loved the Retreat, and the Retreat Lounge, and so the obstruction in our room didn't matter to us. We had the Classic drink package, but enjoyed Premium drinks in Luminae, the Retreat Lounge and the Retreat. Congrats! EDIt - I just noticed that you moved, but perhaps some of what I said is still useful.
  12. Does that window angle out, unlike the deck plans that show it as at 90 degrees to the ship?
  13. It looks like it angles outward from the ship, not at 90 degrees like in Deck Plans. Is this true?
  14. Yes, to the left of the main entrance and there are more signs inside and people to direct you. Others (Post #4) have said they used a door farther to the left on a side wall, so there might be more than one way to get there, so day of, pose questions, and look for signs. Don't go in a direction without "Retreat" signs.
  15. Got the offer by email on 6 Dec and made an offer of $50 over minimum the same day. Our original deal was quite good, so with the MoveUp costs, the cost to us is a bit more than half of what the suite would have cost had we booked it in the past month or so. You don't acquire everything (e.g. OBC's, Premium Drinks and Premium WiFi), but we already had "All Included", so we could purchase all that and be at about 60%. However, in the Retreat and Luminae, it's pretty much only Premium that's served and that is included. We'll see how good the Basic WiFi is and after a day or so, could upgrade for the remainder of the cruise for a bit more than $100. The big downside for us is that we couldn't choose the location, but we did ok.
  16. We just "Moved Up" from Aqua Class the Sky Suite (on the Beyond) and we had the "All Included" ( Classic Drink Package, Basic Internet and Tips). I know this doesn't get upgraded (but we keep it), we have to pay the difference in cost for tips, and neither do we get the extra OBC. Understood. However: In a Sky Suite are the drinks in the Mini-Bar included, unlike in say Concierge where there is a charge even if you have a drink package? Is Room Service still free? Can you keep the robe and/or slippers after the cruise?
  17. Haven't been on Oceania since 2019, but are booked on Sirena for a 31 Day Transatlantic in April 2025 and in a Penthouse Suite - our first of that size. We've done several Celebrity since (as recently as this month) and it's nice, but not the same. Can't wait!
  18. There are usually people already on board who did a back-to-back. The Laundry Room is something all should experience. Be sure to know and obey the rules as there are always watchful eyes to sternly steer you back to the path of doing it correctly. 😉
  19. We are booking a Transatlantic cruise for 2025 on the Sirena, and are only waiting for the Mediterranean itineraries to come out to see what we can tack on to the end of it after Rome on May 6, 2025. I hope it will be out soon.
  20. Yes we have an Annual Plan with Blue Cross for multiple 17 day trips per year and if the trip (Departure Date to Return Date) is even one minute over 17 calendar days, you have no coverage for the entire trip, not just that extra day. Our next trip is 18 calendar days so we bought one extra day (an extra policy in fact) and it cost $23.
  21. Does this still exist? I can't find any mention of it on the Celebrity website. I am interested in using that program in Fort Lauderdale in November. I understand that it was widely used for European Cruises and then instituted for Fort Lauderdale in 2019, but was quickly suspended in 2020 due to COVID concerns.
