Got a question I was hoping someone could help me out on.  Purchased the box of six from emed for a RCCL cruise out of Florida in November and December.  The new CDC guidance from Friday details what is needed on the negative test result report and it lists full name and either birth date or passport number.  Since I have a middle name and the NAVICA app only allows first and last names to register (and the prescription only lists first and last names also), do I need to worry that the testing results will not have my middle name and that it will be rejected at the pier?  The RCCL website just states that it includes your name and doesn't state whether it is full name or not.

And somebody asked earlier about manufacturing dates of ones that people have received.  Mine had 2-08-21 for that and expiration of 10-15-21.  Adding the three month extension would get mine to 1-15-22 but with a Feb. 2022 cruise also will have to purchase another set, but will wait until it gets closer.

I am positive my test results for my cruise earlier this month did not show my full name that is on my passport.

Bingo, and the cruiselines are doing it by the hundreds of thousands.     CVS is cancelling appts left and right, especially for the rapid test.   I still have one scheduled at the local urgent care next week.  I just ordered the six tests from Emed to be on the safe side.  An extra 167.00 tacked on to the cruise when I only needed one kit lol

Now that we know they can be used by people other than the person prescribed to, could you sell the extras?

  3. I don't know your family history but when my mom was getting her shot she was behind a family (the whole family was getting the shot at the same time) that had a child younger that 12 who was also getting the shot because they had a medically fragile family member in the household, you can get waivers for that type of situation I would call your local health dept to see if there are any waivers that your child could qualify for; a cruise would not be a situation that would qualify.

That is true now, but on August 15th they still allowed none vac'd adult passengers on Florida cruises but tested at port.

Your comment still isn't right, the Vaccinated Passengers still could not get tested at the port whether they were allowing non-vaccinated adults or not.

Thought I was going to be in the same boat for our Allure August 15th sailing. 4 other family members and I tested at the same time at local Walgreens. All of their results were back within an hour. I waited almost 2 hrs and called. They insisted all results are in and nothing they could do. Also, I could not find any other testing openings before our flight to Florida. I called back and they kept looking and still insisted nothing they could do. However, I did receive my results about an hour later. I suspect that when we tested together they left mine in the "box" by accident and maybe on my second call they searched again and found it. Not sure. I was a bit worried, however we had accidentally scheduled covid tests at the Port and so I knew that worst case, I would take the test there. I also was worried about being charged for the scheduled tests we didn't take, but no charge for no testing. So I think the worst is that you test at the port and are positive.

I am a little confused by your last comment.  If you are vaccinated you cannot get tested at the port if you don't have a negative test they will turn you away.

NCL have option for Captain to marry the couple in international water. The ceremony time options are based on the location of the ship.

That may be but this isn't the NCL board so I gave them the information about Royal.🙂

As it is my information is 14 years old so there is that.

It is my understanding if you are in a bubble tour you cannot go off on our own.

There was a family put off a ship I believe in St Martin who left the group to go into shops.  They are pretty strict about staying in the bubble….

The Protocols also say that vaccinated parents can go ashore (without excursion) if the child is in the kids club.  Now my question which will get answered in a few weeks will be leaving Papaw onboard with the littles and Mom and Memaw go ashore to shop...

  8. We were going to do this and had made the payment and everything but changed our minds.  The captain doesn't perform the ceremony, if you want the wedding on the ship it takes place on embarkation day.  If you want to get married on one of the islands then it takes place on that day.

We have been married 14 years next month so I really can't give you any more information than that.

I guess you get what you paid for😂Optum is free shipping

But I think it was the handling time that took the longest for Optum, since basically we had the tracking numbers on the same day of the week. And you will receive the same day of the week I did.  I considered Optum for an extra set when we decided on Saturday to order for our daughter and the littles.  With the four of them it would have needed two sets from eMed.  With their flights it was decided it would be less stressful for them to test after they arrived in Florida.

I just wanted to give shipping info on my recent order from Optum.com to help anyone trying to figure out when they should order.

I ordered the 2pk this past Thursday 8/26 and received an email yesterday Sunday 8/29 with Fed Ex tracking number. My package is supposed to be delivered by 8pm on Tuesday 8/31.

Well that isn't terrible but eMeds is a bit faster.  I ordered on Sunday and had it on Tuesday.

With so many Bahamians sick and many work for RCI at Co-co would you still feel comfortable being there,  a question that everyone will have a different answer to. Granted its not like Labadee with 90% of the workers being up front and close to the passengers.. That stop over in a foreign port kind of puts the squeez on what they can do if the Bahamian government HAS to stop all cruise ships from entering their ports when sailing from NJ doesn't it.

No I am not worried about going to Coco Cay,  all staff are vaccinated so it isn't an issue.  They aren't going to stop going to the Bahamas they are going to make sure that all passengers over the required age are vaccinated.

If you can find your way to the Secret Emerald Lounge (tm) they sell 8-drink punch cards at a great price.

Nah, don't want another lounge, we only went to the suite lounge twice two weeks ago just don't have enough time on any given day to spend in an isolated lounge.😁
