We need to discuss size for this perfect ship. I'd vote for Arcadia sized or slightly bigger to allow access to as many ports as possible and be able to go through the Panama canal comfortably. We need something reasonable size to fit in all the goodies.

I agree, either  Arcadia or Aurora size,

Seems to be shaping up quite nicely. Any possible names for her?

A perfect ship needs an appropriate name, so in keeping with the P&O tradition of names ending with A, I thought 'Bellissima'

Over the weekend our son had both of his email accounts hacked and they locked him out so that he can’t reverse the change. So he spent most of yesterday changing the passwords of his various accounts and other websites. He now needs to create a new email account and then update all of the sites again the new address. It makes me realise the number of companies and other sites I’d have to contact if it happened to me 😩

It’s a mystery how they accessed both of his accounts in one go.

Crikey !!😲 and I thought I was having a bad day.

Technology is an amazingly useful thing..........until it isn't🤬

Must be all the best people having a birthday today, another Taurus, personally think it’s all a load of bull. I’m expecting a parade led by trombones later along with the family for pizza and wine in the garden, just hoping the weather stays kind.

A very happy birthday from one Taurean to another.

  6. Good afternoon all.

Well I think I may be having one of those days where it begins badly and gradually gets worse as the the day goes on😬

I got up this morning to another year closer to 80. Came downstairs to make a coffee and knocked the full jar all over the kitcken floor and worktop. Cleared it all up, opened a new jar and tried again, took it into the front room with me and opened my cards, so far so good🤞

Picked up my mobile to send thank you messages.......... No connection, tried again, still no joy. Rebooted it..... twice , still nothing. Everything else was working except EE network. My daughter's phone, also EE was fine.  The problem was with my mobile.

My children and grandchildren put together and bought me a new mobile for my birthday, and there-in lies the problem. My new phone needed a smaller sim card so one was ordered from EE and all my data transferred obviously......However....I was assured that I would be able to use my old mobile until my new sim arrived as I needed it to access my bank. Sim ordered yesterday, no network this morning. 🤬

Love the phone, now I just have wait for the sim, so I can pay the end of month bills. Good thing I did my Asda order yesterday morning😉

Oh well, at least I healthily made it to 77😊😁

Enjoy your day everyone whether on land or sea.x

    From a very frustrated

Hello John. Thank you for asking and yes I am feeling a lot better now. It's only 3 weeks since the fall so I'm quite chuffed that I feel this well. The pain is lessening every day.

When I got home from the hospital and got settled in, I felt really shocked, and more than anything, I wanted a cigarette. I had kept a "just in case" packet all the time I've been vaping (over a year) and I've never even come close to opening them until that night. I smoked about 10 during a very long night of not sleeping and have carried on smoking for the past 3 weeks I'm ashamed to say.

Now, I've got to start all over again. I know I can do it because I've proved that already but oh it feels like a mountain to climb!

    Jane xx

    From Frank.

Hello Jane. Av has just read me your post.

I can understand your reason for needing to smoke again, and to be honest with you, if I'd had some cigarettes in the house I would have done the same. Luckily Av had thrown every one out, after stamping on them first😁 It's not easy I know, so don't beat yourself up over it. Smoking is very difficult to give up and the fact that you went so long vaping proves that you will have the strenght to do it again when you feel the time is right.

There is no mountain to climb Jane, just one step at a time slowly moving forward and you'll get there. Never stop trying to stop.

One final tip, try not have any cigarettes in the house. When the urge for a cigarette gets too much vape for longer until it goes away. That worked for me.

    Stay strong and good luck👍

Take a tip from the ladies zap......... Use it as an excuse to buy more clothes, but ssh🤫don't tell anyone I told you, it'll just be our little secret.😉

    Have a lovely cruise.

An echo is much more involved LL. They look into the chambers of your heart and also the valves to ensure they are working properly. You are right in that it's like a baby scan - completely painless and actually very interesting if the technician is kind enough to point out what he/ she is looking at. Good luck when the time comes. Jane xx

When Frank was in hospital he had 3 over the course of 15 days. It was the same technician each time and he pointed out the slight improvements as his condition improved during his treatment. He was lovely and answered any questions I had. Frank bless him, wasn't interested at all, he just laid there and let him get on with it😁

    Me ... I'm nosy😉

I think I forgot to mention that on phoning as suggested to find out about appt. for an  echocardiogram, it turns out to be a 7 month waiting list!  I am two months into it at present.

I'd consider that good news LL. If they were really concered, I would have thought you'd have had an appointment within a couple of days.

  11. Good morning.

Blue skies, sunshine and calm at the moment. Chilly though, 5c at the moment, but forecast to reach a balmy (or should that be barmy) 11c.

I find it easier to use celsius, but still use feet and inches and pounds and ounces. Probably because enjoying dressmaking and cooking it was much easier to stay with what I knew and avoid mistakes. You can't teach and old dog new tricks, as the saying goes.

I will also add my personal items to  @twotravellersLondon list this morning. I have tried to grow sweet peppers from seed for the last 3 years with no success, until today. I have 1, yes 1 brave little plant🌱 starting to peep through and I am over the moon. It will be the most loved and pampered little plant ever, (if it survives🤞) I also have numbers 1 2 3 4 10 and  number 8 yesterday👍 Both Frank and myself are well as are the family, so who can ask for more.😊

    I hope everyone has a lovely day.x

In that case you're the person to tell us... if a shepherd spy is caught... would s/he be a bit sheepish! And... in answer to the interrogation, would the replies be a bit wooly? And finally... is a meeting of shepherd spies called a flock?

And once convicted are thet baaared from all sheep farms?😊

Good Evening All. Sadly for the last time,  we head for home back to Kent tomorrow.  We have had a very relaxing 2 weeks in the west country,  1st week with son & dil+ grand kids,  weather was a disappointment,  but has improved this past week  in Cornwall, then Devon.

Tonight's menu.  We started with mackerel (dw) me pork/  cranberry terrine. Both had Haddock filet, followed  by pecan tart & Me the orange  cheesecake.

Pic below.   We have enjoyed all the hotel meals,  it is a treat  to not have to decide which meals for each day normally when at home.

As mentioned previously I will post pictures/ re views over on T.A. Once  settled  back home.

Hope you have enjoyed the pictures  along the way. And thanks for the likes & quotes.
