  1. This was on Harmony and not smoothies, but I ordered several fresh juices from the Vitality Cafe, all which were obviously made with fresh fruits. Delicious and they were all covered on the refreshment package. I was sad I didn’t discover it sooner because the fresh juices were so good and they were a great way to start my early mornings!

  2. Personally I miss the items in the mini bar. I travel with my mom who sometimes quickly needs a snack or a soda after she takes dialysis on the ship early in the morning, and it was convenient having it right in the room for a quick grab instead of having to go to another venue to grab something to bring to the room.

  3. Visit the cruise host in person on the ship. They’re very accommodating but it depends on the ship I think. We got cards for free tee shirts and drinks for a slot pull on Allure, but recently on Harmony I wasn’t offered anything as a prize [emoji23]

  4. Can you imagen how the poor folks feel as they clean up your crumbs and whatnot after you turn the theatre into a dinning room. If you can't go a hour or so without eating something them maybe watching shows should not be on the checklist...

Not to mention how distracting it might be to your neighbor that might be trying to enjoy the show.

But they sell snacks in the theatre now anyway. On Harmony two weeks ago they had a small concession stand selling candy and such. I didn’t see many people purchasing those items but they do make it available. Shrug.

  5. Im so confused, why is that nobody care about donating money and time. RCL has allot of money there stock is over 120. They can easily make new ships, why can't they help out the islands. Why is RCL the only cruise liner that is going back now?

What on earth? They have sent several ships full of supplies to the islands. They have been helping people suffering on the islands for weeks. They have a history of doing that for areas affected by hurricanes and other natural disasters for years. What more do you want from them?

If you want to donate your money and time, then do so. No one is stopping you. They’re certainly doing more to help the people of St. Maarten and PR by helping to keep businesses there in business, instead of you just complaining.

  6. That's why the poster involved the cabin attendant, by complaining about it...as it was then handled by the cabin attendant on their own. Smart move.

I mean, was it a smart move for the cabin attendant to then put a bunch of dishes in front of the offending passenger’s door?

That mught affect their tip and it will still piss off the jerk, who might take it out on the attendant or the original passenger. Doesn’t seem like a smart or professional way to deal with that kind of behavior.

  7. Loved Izumi Sushi a couple of weeks ago on Harmony. I’m not a sushi chef and have never been to Japan so can’t comment on the quality other than to say it was delicious. And the service was very good as well although we went early and were the first table seated right around 6pm.

  8. We order room service maybe 2-3 Times on every cruise. $7.95 doesn’t seem like a lot of money considering you can order anything on the menu and it’s per order, not per person. I know it used to be free so people are upset that they’re being charged, but I noticed on my recent Harmony cruise that the quality of the room service food increased dramatically from our previous experiences on Allure with the “free” room service food.

  9. Hi @krazyfuntimes, I’m sorry we missed you at the M&M! We didn’t get invited either but one of our roll call members called guest services and posted the time and date on the roll call thread. The activities director Jerry said that the invites had been sent out, but we told him that wasn’t true. [emoji848]

I enjoyed this cruise a lot and booked it again for next October, but I agree there were a few problems.

The audio across the board was not good. It cut out quite a few times during Grease, and I was at Hideaway Heist when they had to cancel the show in the middle because the music cut out four or five times.

There was a severe lack of organized daytime activities. There was plenty to do of course on the sports deck, but I am really into the game shows and trivia, bingo, and those types of indoor activities and there just weren’t very many. A 7 day cruise and only 4 bingo sessions? Really? The activities staff just didn’t seem very enthusiastic and you’re right that the CD Bobby Brown wasn’t very good, although I did enjoy him on Allure a couple of years ago.

I didn’t bother getting off the ship for the first time. I didn’t want to go Western so I stayed and enjoyed the ship on those days.

I also noticed the rudeness of other passengers. Was traveling with my mom who has limited mobility and people would just cut in front of her scooter CONSTANTLY, would refuse to hold elevators, etc. The elevator situation towards the end there was HORRIBLE. I saw grown men screaming and cursing while waiting for elevators. Calm the heck down!

The things I really enjoyed were the shows and the food. Almost all of our experiences there were excellent. The staff were all friendly as well.

The ship was beautiful and I loved everything about our cabin and the decor around the ship. I’m really excited for our cruise next year but hoping the cruise staff is better next time around. :)

  10. I pretty much agree with all of this. I'm glad we tried Wonderland once but we will not be going back. It just wasn't for us but I can see how others would like it.

I loved 150 Central Park however and can't wait to go back.

I loved 150 CP when I went there on Allure, but I hated it on Harmony. [emoji24] Food was kinda bland and service was terrible.

  11. Just got off of Harmony on Saturday and Wonderland was one of the top highlights of my cruise. It was wonderful in every way. The food was unique and delicious and the service was excellent. I loved every moment. We liked it so much we were thinking of going a second night but decided not to spoil ourselves too much.

My suggestion is to let the server pick the appetizers for you. They will take your preferences into consideration. Let this be a journey as it is designed to be. You will have a great time as long as you are open to it and are not a picky eater. [emoji4]

(also I suggest trying the Oceanic Citrus and the Apple dessert. Yum!)

  12. Did you eat in the Windjammer, if so was what was your impression?

Yes, almost every morning for breakfast.

I hate the entrance to the WJ on this ship. They block everything off and they force you to go through the hand wash station, which means it takes forever to get in at peak times. There was one morning around 10:45 that we waited in a queue for about 10 minutes, not realizing that because my mom is in a scooter, we could have skipped the line and sat at the reserved accessible area.

Also for all the dramatic hand washing they make us do at the entrance, I still saw a gross old man grab a sausage straight from the tray with his fingers, shove it in his mouth, lick his fingers, and keep going around the buffet. BARF.

Now besides all that (lol), I do enjoy the windjammer on this ship. First off, it’s prettier and more modern than on other ships. The stations are clearly labeled. And there’s a good breakfast selection. Lots of tables available. I love the area to get fresh OJ, which may have existed on other ships but I had never seen it before. And there are plenty of staff to get you a drink and clear your plates.

For breakfast we also tried mini bites which makes a delicious omelet and was a lot quicker than the WJ; Solarium Bistro which was very similar offerings to WJ; Johnny Rockets which was not very good IMO, and very slow service.

I wanted to check out WJ for lunch and dinner but we always had something else going on, so never made it, so I can’t comment on those times.

  13. In case we weren’t QUITE rolling out the door after that giant meal, we ordered some mochi ice cream. Delicious! The flavors were strawberry, mango, and green tea.

My favorite part of Izumi, besides the amazing food, was getting to sit by a window overlooking the ocean. It can be hard to find sea views on Oasis class ships so I was delighted to have this beautiful vista during dinner.

  14. I would love to hear about your hibachi experience we booked it for the first time on our upcoming cruise. Thank you. Safe travels home. :)

Hello! As it turns out, we ended up cancelling the hibachi since we had already done it on Allure last year. We decided to do the regular a la carte sushi at Izumi and it was wonderful.

(The hibachi experience on Allure was so much fun, and it looked to be the same on Harmony, so I’m sure you will have a great time! Especially if you have a larger group, it’s more fun when it’s social. [emoji4])

We started with a bowl of delicious steamed edamame which comes with the meal. [emoji39]

Then Mom had the deluxe seafood citrus salad, with shrimp, octopus, and lobster, which was really delicious. I believe they used some kind of citrus dressing and it was very tasty.

I had the pork gyoza dumplings, which were pretty standard.

We shared a couple of rolls and a poke bowl. I ordered the spider roll, and Mom ordered the futomaki which was more than enough for two people.

  15. Really enjoyed your Insta stories!

Sorry you’re leaving, but at least there’s BugsyCruiser to pick up the cruise void this upcoming week!

I’m so glad you enjoyed the stories!! I really liked doing them and they were the only thing that would load easily with the weird VOOM situation. I think I might edit them all together and make a little video haha. :)
