  1. That is just what happened with us on Beyond last February. We were in a MC Sky Suite. Our butler heard all the banging and popping when we pointed it out to her. There was a shoreside engineering team onboard who's job it was to go around and fix the affected cabins. They spent around 4 hours tearing the ceiling apart around all the walls, adding rubber into the joints where the ceiling and walls meet and drilled an additional 8-10 screws into the frame around the door. There was also, what sounded like a bowling ball, rolling back and forth within one of the walls but the team couldn't do anything about that since it was within the wall. Thank goodness we were out that day because our butler told us the room was a mess since she also spent most of her time in our cabin while they were working on it. The room was much quieter after they finished.
  2. Michaels is likely not as warm and welcoming because we're not there with you 😄. On a more serious note, yes, Michelle was the best and always had such a nice smile. Hope the rest of your cruise is great, Luminae, the ship and ports.
  3. I am right there with you. I only found out by taking the test after not being able to sleep all night. I thought it was out of the ordinary. So, it kept us from flying home from Europe to the US, only ours was in the spring of 2022 just 3 weeks before the 10 day period was lifted.
  4. Sheila & Jim, We are so sorry to hear about your terrible embarkation. Hopefully, your cruise is going along perfectly and you both are having an amazing time!!
  5. Thanks again, Jim. I sent you an email.
  6. Verizon, thanks for the information. I don't think we'll feel bad if not recognized on our cruise next month. It would be nice but no big deal, if not. I'm more concerned with arranging the free cruise before the selection dwindles down as time goes on. And congratulations on being a Double Zenith!!! That's quite an achievement!!
  7. 👍 A very tiny thumbs-up 😄
  8. Thanks Jim. I did send proof showing our Zenith level (screenshot of our account) last week. Checked to make sure it was sent. I will re-send the email in a few days. Maybe they're on a cruise.
  9. I agree that most Sky Suites would remain empty and only filled with Move-Up bids. I won't pay the sky high prices today even with access to the lounge. Would book only if prices were more reasonable.
  10. Thank you for that information. I am getting a "Pending" status on FB which also states that if my request is approved I will receive a notification. They had me send proof of reaching Zenith via email before I'm granted access.
  11. We were on a B2B in a Sky Suite and remember not having access to Michaels Club (which it was still called back then). Luminae existed and we did have access to it for meals. Seemed weird meeting up others in Luminae that were in higher suites but couldn't meet them in Michaels before dinner or go with them for a nightcap afterwards.
  12. It's been about a month since we reached Zenith so I'll give it another week or so before I call. I suppose I should contact Captains Club and they will put me in touch with the Zenith Desk? We are on a cruise February 10 so hopefully everything will work out with our new status. I also put a request in a couple days ago to join the Zenith FB page. Waiting to hear back from them.
  13. Guys, that is a great cruise. Have a wonderful time!!!
  14. Thank you. This additional information is very helpful. I will also check out the private FB page. Do we contact Celebrity directly concerning the 7-day cruise or does someone eventually get in touch with us? Its been about a month since we reached Zenith.
  15. Thank you. I knew about the laundry but not dry cleaning...good to know. The others you mention are listed on the Celebrity site. I am inquiring about anything not on the Captains Club Zenith benefits list such as being able to use the suite line at check in as long as it's designated on the sign "Suites/Zenith."
  16. In December we hit a milestone and made it to Zenith. Our next cruise is on the Constellation in February. Are there any benefits other than what Celebrity lists that we can expect? I noticed there is a Suites/Zenith line we can use when embarking (which is not on the list). Can we check in at any time or are we held to the time we chose? Any other non-posted benefits? Thanks!! Edit: we are not in a suite on this cruise.
  17. The sauna was pretty quiet during the 9 day Caribbean cruise. Only about 2 other guys using it. They need to do some repairs to the seating which hopefully will be taken care of when the ship goes into drydock. Transatlantics seem to be much busier with more sea days. Have a great time!
  18. Hi, Check out the "Fitness, Spa and Sports Cruises" section under Special Interests. There is a spreadsheet with cruise ship spas that should answer your question.
  19. We just disembarked from the Equinox last Tuesday (December 19). The ship is in great shape, food in the MDR was good to great and even the buffet was good with a ton of selections. Depending on which bar you go to, service could be slow but it was not a problem for us. However, our takeaway from this trip was that we experienced the happiest and most helpful crew on the 8 cruises we've taken since the startup.
  20. They have single sex sauna facilities. The men's is located across from the Pershan Gardens at the top of the winding steps and near the spa. I will be on the Equinox next week and looking forward to it.
  21. We saw this on the Connie also. One night the martini bar was pretty dead with only 1 bartender but once the 9:00pm show let out 3 additional bartenders magically appeared to handle the crowd.
  22. If you're in a Sky Suite Tony is the head butler. At least he was when we did the TA that arrived in Tampa last week. Our room steward was just that...a room steward. He did not do any butler duties, only cleaned the room. But he reports to Tony. There were also two or three room service people who report to the head butler. Tony coordinates everything between the stewards and room service staff. Tony was missing in action for the first couple days until we went to the Retreat Host because we were missing so many things from our suite. We didn't even have a number in our room to contact him. We thought the food in Luminae was good although we often mixed items from the main dining room and Blu in addition to Luminae.
  23. Hey guys, Great to hear from you!!! Assuming all went well on your trip home. We're settled back in for now...heading to Equinox in 11 days. We'll be Zenith after that cruise so looking forward in the future to picking up secret Zenith tips 😉. It was very nice meeting and sailing with you both. Have a great holiday and 2024!!!
  24. We got off the Connie on November 23 after spending 7 nights in a Concierge cabin (Adriatic) and 16 nights (TA) in a Sky Suite. We thoroughly enjoyed being in both rooms as well as eating in main dining and Luminae. The ship was in good shape. Some things are a little worn but didn't bother us at all. Food and entertainment were very good. We'll be sailing on her again in February for the Mardi Gras cruise. Enjoy!!!!
  25. The head butler's name is Tony and the 2 Concierges in Michaels Club are Tessa and Jairo. I believe Tessa is going home very soon unless her contract is extended.
