Our cruise in December which is fully paid for now includes free Silver Spirits on the Labor Day Sale. Is that something we should now have our TA try to get included?

Carlsberg has been the choice on our 2 cruises…Alaska and Empires

Just off the Sea…pool grill was not a noodle bar at dinner

On our 2 ocean cruises, Carlsberg zero % alcohol has been available

I have no issue with the sushi offerings at all what I have issues with is precisely explained above by Dr Koob

You missed my point salad bar is lacking toppings in the evening…no tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, etc

Currently on the Empires cruise and enjoying it, but one thing a bit disappointing to us is a sushi area has essentially replaced a salad bar area. Dont get me wrong, you can still make salad, but its minimal at best. They put lettuce out with essentially no toppings…evidently now you must ask for them. Also there are very few cooked veggies on the hot bar. Personally we think the area now used for sushi is way overdone, and sure would be nice to have the pasta bar.

Thank you so much for sharing your trip and thoughts. We are 2 weeks out from the Empires cruise with extensions both ends, this being our 2nd Ocean adventure with Viking (Alaska the other). We have a TA planned in Dec and next Xmas the Caribbean islands, both Viking, and wanting to do something “big” for my 75th birthday in 2026. Your experiences on this cruise have me looking at BIE, Homelands, and this one

What I posted is exactly what we received from our TA here in Florida it does specifically say within 14 days of embarking on a cruise

We did not just return from a cruise, but we leave for one in 3 weeks Im reading this as the opportunity to get the same benefits as onboard booking in the 14 day window before the cruise

Miami is a crap shoot Sometimes we sit on the tarmac waiting for a gate We use Mobile Passport Control and usually get thru Customs in less than 10 minutes But then baggage claim is hell…have waited 45 mins for bags Then you have security again…no pre check…one long line…usually another 30 minutes

Totally agree…never quite understand all the excitement over the train ride!

We cruised Alaska in July. Never really got cold (we are Floridians) but we made sure we had good rain gear…staying dry equally important

Looks are very subjective…we find the rooms very functional and love the simple decor and layout of Viking throughout the ship

We have only sailed Regent once, and it felt like a real “luxury” experience. We prefer Viking for the “not so luxury” experience if that makes sense.
