They do. I always book one way flights. Last time I flew Southwest on the way to Miami and Spirit for the way home. Same price whether you book one way or RT.
Maybe something Sid could look at while he’s just hanging out……..somewhere…..

I don't post here much but wanted to tell someone other than my DH that we have 20days until our 14-day cruise to Alaska on the Carnival Spirit.
Everyone have a great day. Also, all have great future cruises.
Have a great cruise. We toured Alaska on our first cruise several years ago with DH parents. It was a last minute booking for us. We found out they had booked a cruise. DH’s mother had dementia and his dad was very frail from brain cancer. We got a great price and joined them, it was a wonderful trip. The scenery is fabulous.

Three words.
Big. Front. Seat.
I looked at Spirit for Sid’s travel dates. From Atl to Mia is a great flight.unfortunately the only flight home on 6/2 leaves very early in the morning.I've never flown them before but am now interested. Do you know if they are like Southwest and price out the same for one way flights? I may look at using them to fly to Florida but get another flight to come home.

This will be my 5th TA on the Epic and 7th overall. This fall I'm going to give the Escape a try and then possibly the Bliss in January. I just about only do TAs--love them!
I agree. We are doing two shorter cruises in the next 12 months just to try different cruise lines. We are going on the MSC seashore in May. We booked in the yacht club. Then next January we booked a 10 day cruise On the Journey Explora ll. We like the haven on NCl so we want to see how these compare. The MSC YC was so much cheaper than NCL. After those I think our cruises will be TA’s.

Cruise day and I’ve been up pretty much the whole night. No joy in getting my teen rebooked on a flight today. She is officially stuck in Amsterdam until tomorrow afternoon. They gave her a hotel voucher but she can’t check in as she’s under 18, and I’m not really up for having her navigate Amsterdam alone. So, she is stuck at the airport. At least she had wifi! I’m freaking out a little in case they end up cancelling tomorrow as well…I’ll be on a ship and of little use to her if they do!
Anyways, I’m up, packed, and enjoying my keurig coffee. Happy to report that there were no shower olympics today - water was perfect temperature and stayed that way. Thinking of heading out around 9:00ish and walking to the port. Not raining right now!
I have an unopened bottle of soda - I can’t remember if NCL allows us to take that on or if I should ditch it beforehand?
I’m sorry. Like you I was hoping for better news on your daughter’s flight. Fingers crossed she gets her flight tomorrow! I don’t think you can bring the soda.

Happy Easter to the Tribe. Quiet day here with just the two of us, but I am cooking a prime rib roast which should be delicious. No Easter eggs or jelly beans, though. Those are yuk! I'll substitute margaritas and Pinot Noir.
Happy Easter! We are also cooking a prime rib roast. Our son,DIL and GS are coming to eat. also no Easter eggs or jelly beans. No dessert. Our Grandson is diabetic so I got him a card and gift cards for Chick- fil- a so he can take his girlfriend out for lunch. I do have two lovely bottles of Apothic red blend that I like. I think it will Be a perfect day.

I don't doubt that. But the company they bought (who is my direct and main client) gave equal time off for Jewish and Christian holidays, plus all National holidays. (Plus the week between Christmas and New Years since the pharmaceutical companies are off that week, and they are a Medical Education company). Seems to me the new huge parent company would be wise to take that into consideration to keep their people happy. We were spoiled, yes. I still take off what I want (like every Friday). 🙂
Wow! That would be a big change for the employees. If I had worked for your old company I would be upset.

I sure don't. I tend to follow the holiday vacation days that my main client has. Since that was recently bought out by a big company, now we get "Juneteenth" off but NOT Good Friday, Christmas Eve OR NYE off. But I will be taking both of those (plus more) because, hey, they are not the boss of me! 🙂
When I worked for Verizon we never got off Good Friday or NYE. Your main client is following the federal Holiday schedule which includes Juneteenth but not Good Friday, Christmas Eve or NYE.

I’m in a few travel groups on the social media… today’s highlighted post was bashing Frontier. Apparently, I had to deduce this from the post and in the comments, a lady flew Frontier with her 3 kids somewhere and when trying to return, they would not let her fly with her daughter as a “lap child”. The daughter is 7 and disabled… no legs and half of an arm.
They couldn’t accommodate another “regular” passenger on the scheduled flight so they told her they would have to wait til Saturday.., this happened yesterday, for the next flight to Florida. So, what say ye Tribe?! Who is at fault?
The mother. She needs to buy a ticket.

Found and disposed of the dead mouse/rat. What a mess. Hopefully, he was the only one. I think what happened is that he went outside and went into one of our bait houses and ate rat poison and then came back inside to die. Oh Joy!! Some of this stuff has not been moved for 20 years--glad we only had to tear apart 1/2 the living room! Now the clean up begins!
I feel your pain. We had one in the basement that took me a week to find….it was a stinky week. When I got home yesterday I only had to run the dishwasher once to wash all of the silverware and utensils that were in the drawers the mouse got into while we were gone. You know where they have been…little turd producing crappers.my neighbor found evidence early and trapped the little sucker. He caught one more a few weeks later in February. Traps have been set since then and they were empty when we got home. The biggest clue that they aren’t here is our cat isn’t going crazy in the kitchen or basement. If there is a mouse he lays on the floor for hours watching.

Oh no! Nope. Nah. Kill it.
Yup. They pee and poop non stop! We have had a mouse invasion the last couple years. Don’t know where they are getting in. We are gone for the winter. Our neighbor watches our house, checks for mice and put out traps He caught 2 this year. When I get home I’m contacting a company that mouse proofs homes. They use some metal grid around the foundation and fill all holes. It may cost me A couple grand but I can’t have mice in my house. The first year they went undetected and I had to throw away anything that couldn’t be run through the dishwasher from the countertop down. All small appliances. I ran 9 loads through the dishwasher. Nope…

Got up early to cover my work bases. Taking the kids to Frontier City in OKC today. First week of the season. Gotta get our membership cups and what not for the new year. We got these passes during the “shutdown”. We pay $10 a month and can go to any Sic Flags park in the country for free. We get unlimited drinks, skip the line passes, VIP parking & other discounts on special events. If only it covered Thrill water park at CocoCaye. 😆
You are such a good mom.

As maluhia87 said, you were fine for corned beef and cabbage, I just had to rinse and soak as I was making pastrami. It would taste like a salt block if I didn’t.
I don’t care for corned beef because it’s too salty for me. I’m planning on doing your soaking method if I find one for .97 a pound.

@TxTeach79 we’ll be on the MSC seashore in May. We’ll see how it compares to NCL. They had a price for 2 in the yacht club that would cost us the same for a regular balcony room on NCL.

Our favorite thing on the Cucina menu was the lasagne on the appetizer menu. We went back a 2nd night and got it as an entree.

Well, room service never arrived last night. I made a pretty big order, waited an hour, and it never came. They reversed the charge, so that’s good

it tasted good, it’s airport food, and I’m out in under $20, so 🤷🏻♂️I would have ordered the same thing only I would have asked for my potatoes to
be extra crispy. At restaurants in the RGV I always substitute charro beans for the refried but that probably wasn’t an option for you.

I’m so sorry that you lost your Mom. I smiled reading your story of your last trip. I know the 12 of you will have a great cruise and in my belief your parents will be watching and enjoying it with you.
