  1. Hi All, I'm looking for the best option to get me and my family from Orlando (Disney Art Of Animation Hotel) to Port, the Port to airport 1 week later. I have a 8 months and 3 YO so need car seats and 3 cases. Jan 2025. Thank you
  2. I have a sailing in Jan 25, when will they release the offers on my account?
  3. Good Choice, as RCI now say 'the ships the destination' Have a wonderful trip.
  4. My kid loves his sleep, On Anthem when he was 18 months we would drop him off at the 6-36 MO Nursery where he would sleep all evening whilst we where out (at a cost) Nows his 3 yeas and 4 months he will be in the next age up, does anyone know if that category has a night nursery to sleep? Thanks 🙂
  5. I have sailed Anthem and Allure, on a port intensive Europe Itinerary you will find it hard to enjoy an Oasis Class Ship (if your like me and want to experience it all) ! Or it may leave you wanting more so you book another trip. I loved both ships for different reasons but if I had to book one again id book oasis class trips where the ports are not 'must get off' locations and just enjoy the ship. Either way you will have a great time on RCI.
  6. we took a pack of 12 mini tonics in our hand lugggae. But you could grab some in port and bring it back on board.
  7. https://www.cruisecritic.co.uk/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=705268 I used this forum a lot with my recent cruise last week, I put up a detailed review but will try to answer any questions here if you have them. Thanks!
  8. anthem is a great ship, i have sailed her twice. If your kids are a little older than toddlers then they will have the best time. flower rider, north star, bumper cars so much to keep them entrained. when we sailed with them our son was only 18 months but imagined not seeing him for 7 days when his older !
  9. It sounds like you are going to need a holiday when you get back! How are you finding the overall experience? Have you felt crowded at all ? Been keeping an eye on the temperature over the last few weeks and Apple always has it sitting around 19 in the outer towns and a few degree's cooler in the Fjords. Are the open decks busy still ?
  10. Tell me a bank with millions of customer's that has not been under the microscope at some point in the past 10 years
  11. I would suggest a revolut or Monzo Card, these wont charge you and you can switch rates per country. They also offer great rates at ATM's (the ones that don't charge) Mine is with Revolute so I cannot speak for Monzo but they all do the same thing. The issue with credit cards though if there was a an issue there is a way to claim, most charge 1-3% per transaction.
  12. If you have the budget I strongly suggest and recommend RCI in the carib. Sorry if that's a curveball but they just seem to get it right over there. I have said with them in Europe and in the Carib, (same Ship) the whole vibe was so different from one region of the world to the other, I would imagine p&o being the same here vs there. All depends on your taste that is!
  13. Does anyone know what the first boarding time is and the last?
  14. I may be wrong But I think its only conservatory suite balcony's on deck and 8 no standard balcony's. 2022-Iona-deck-plans.pdf (pocruises.com) The above link shows all the decks and cabins, there is a key so you can match the colors to the style of cabin you want. In terms of location, its really about personal preference. we don't mind being far away from the stairs and lifts but some see this as a must. Just make sure that once you have picked your room and location just have a quick look on the deck plans to make sure there is no loud bars above / below as this could potentially be a little noisy.
  15. We are on this sailing in two weeks, really enjoying the updates. Have a great cruise!
  16. You will find that the staff will hang around and be seen in the hall ways on embarkation days, I like to hand it to them personally but some prefer to leave them in the room.
  17. Top Tip for your next cruise 🙂 buy a white board and stick it on your door (the outside) then you can leave notes to your fellow ships mates of your whereabouts! Just don't leave the pen outside, I made that mistake only once #comedywilly ....
  18. Its all about guests per square meter Iona is about 20% larger then Apex but carries 40% more passengers so. Id love to sail celeb one day but they want a full faire cost for my 2 year old so its a no from me for now.
  19. I did this, Opened the Flex Plus account a few months before I sailed then closed it the day I came back, cost me about £45 for 14 nights in the Carib, any other policy with cruise cover was over £150 for the year. To be clear it was not TOP TOP level but inccluded everything I needed for my trip, Just read the T's & C's to make sure it covers the cost of your trip of cancelation / missed ports / medical evac ect.
  20. If I were to upgrade to a deluxe Balcony, is the space inside any larger or is it just the Balcony that's bigger? Thanks for the above responses
  21. I would love this link if at all possible ?? travelbloggers@aol.com ! 🙂
  22. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience in upgrading their cabin once on board? I want to upgrade from a standard balcony to Conservatory suite on Iona. The upgrade program is over £1000 extra for the two of us. Its not a MUST have, buit if I was prepared to run the risk of not getting one BUT maybe getting a better price once on baord.... is than an option ? P&O would tell me no (if I could actually get through to them) ! 🙂
