Forward Facing Balcony On Iona

Maybe the Sea days from and to the UK may be windy but I'm thinking the other 5 days in the Fjords could be a good trade off. -
Forward Facing Balcony On Iona
AndyLovesCruises replied to AndyLovesCruises's topic in P&O Cruises ( UK )
Deck 12, its the very end cabin, looks like its next to a suite that has a wrap around Balcony! -
I feel much the same, it was a bit of a rip off paying almost 800 for my son to sail the carib on Anthem at 18 months old in Jan this year. The Ship was amazing in terms of facility's but quiet basic in appearance though the staff where great with my son there was no official line for kids his age and childcare costs extra. P&O are offering us on board food, special early dining for kids, free crΓ¨che and night for him to sleep, a MUCH better slash pool (RCI was a 2m round 'pool' with a 1" of water and one water fountain! On the face of it Iona looks like a much better option but only time will tell! I will report back. Thanks π

Hi There, I'm looking at the forward facing Balcony Cabins on Iona. How are they for Wind? There is a large glass panel in front of the door that I am finding slightly worrying? I have been allocated one on Deck with but for a small fee I can change it. I'm guessing if you sit down you cant see over the top ? Andy images / experiences would be appreciated!

First time P&O - Britannia with a toddler

If you have a Balcony Cabin I would suggest buying a cheap black sheet and some metal magnet hooks of amazon, we recently did this on Anthem (RCI) and it was perfect at night, if you can book your room with the bed by the bathroom then you can block off the bottom half of room at night and still use the loo / TV without disturbing them. I uploaded a short here : https://youtube.com/shorts/0GSC_7kYnEs?feature=share Buy a snack box off amazon and use the buffet to make them a packed lunch. MEEYUU 4 Pack Bento Lunch Box for Adults and Kids, 5-Compartment Meal Prep Container for Kids, Reusable Food Storage Containers with Transparent Lids, Microwaveable (2 x Green & 2 x Pink) : Amazon.co.uk: Home & Kitchen We will be on Iona our first P&O this year! -
Hi Everyone, Have just booked a cruise with P&O Iona in Aug going into the the Fjords, Cruise number 8. 5 with RCI (will always be by No 1) 1 with NCL and one MSC (never again) I'm a little apprehensive as I'm very used to RCI but it was a fab deal considering it was KIDS HODIAYS AND A BH WEEKEND so I thought it was worth the risk! We have a child now of 18 months so our cruising experience has changed massively ! I'm going into this with low expectations and hope for the best. My First questions is I don't know if anyone can answer this in this thread but my child will be 23 months on embarkation day but will be 2 on the cruise, do you think we will be able to straddle him between the Nursery (6-24 and the 2-4 YO clubs? My second question was, On the itinerary we are on there are several 'cruising' ports. One of them is 'Geirangerfjord' which is next to Hellesylt where we stop for the day, does the ship down down to Geiranger spin around then sail out? My Third Question was, RCI are very relaxed on Formal nights, I get the impression you more likely to be in the minority if you don't dress up in a tux? Even on a trip that's likely to have loads of kiddies?

What is the longest cruise you've done with your kids?

We are on a 11 night cruise with a 15 month old in Jan, quite nervous to be honest. -
Hi Guys, I hope I have put this in the right group. We have a 15-month-old and will be docking back into New York (NJ Banyon) early doors in Jan after 11 nights on Anthem, are flight from JFK back to London does not leave until 19:00, I'm reluctant to get to JFK and spend all day in the airport. I have unsuccessfully been trying to find any company that either (will sort our luggage for us) and get it to the airport OR find a tour company that can take us along with our luggage for the day. This is the end of a 3 week trip so there are 3 full cases of luggage plus a pram π Any suggestions would be amazing.

I'm looking for a Taxi / Driver that can take us around a few spots for half a day / full day, I was wondering if there any recommendations on here of these services?

Hey, I have sailing 11 nights over Xmas on Anthem and was trying to get some baby milk (full fat milk) info, contacted RCI via 'customer support' 7 days go and still not heard back! This is a rather random one, I'm fast finding that cruising with a little person changes the dynamic of the holiday quote a bit!!!! My son has full fat milk first thing in last thing, has anyone had experience with this? Am I able to get a large bottle of milk in the stateroom mini bar for me to decant first thing in the morning and last thing at night? Thank you !

Thank you for all (well almost all) for your Inputs. He sleeps in in Pram no problem, so we plan to just push him around with us IF the Tots does not work out. We are on an 11-night cruise and wanted one MAYBE 2 nights where we could have an evening for us. Whatever the outcome Im sure we will have an amazing time.
-
Well the cots looks separate from the play room thats a start ! what ship was you on ? π

This is great thank you
