  1. Great suggestion! I also assume a regular balcony vs. sheltered will give better light also?
  2. I'm excited for you! Did you find luggage forward smooth to work with? We're considering it, but are a bit worried during these days of uncertain plane travel.
  3. Do you happen to know the time window for this? And even if it's just a switch instead of a cancellation, especially during covid times?
  4. Hello again all, My husband and I are grappling with when to make our first crossing. Our choices are the Jan 3rd 2023 or the May 26 one. (Both NY - Southampton) We were leaning towards January - 8 nights instead of 7, less crowds during our week of travel afterwards, cheaper due to not being "high season", etc. Yet May would have nicer crossing weather (or maybe not?), definitely warmer for land travel, but a more expensive travel month too and more crowds. I also wonder, via recent mask requirement changes, if the May trip will have a lesser chance of requiring masks aboard. (Which we want, but prefer to avoid discussion on that topic, we fully realize there are two sides to it). If we choose Jan but don't make final payment, we have flexibility in case masking rules are in flux to switch to May. I guess my question has two parts: 1 - Jan and May pros/cons as choices Irregardless of covid, and 2 - the ability to switch easily to a later cruise if masking issues arise - is it easy. Thank you all, Kris
  5. We could, or my laptop plays dvds.
  6. Thank you! Good to get a glimpse.
  7. Great idea! I might try this. Thank you!
  8. Wow, thank you for such detail! Give me a good idea of what to expect.
  9. Thank you, that is very kind of you, much appreciated!
  10. That's an idea. I assume USB ports in the tvs? If not, we'll just take our chances with what's offered. Lots to do besides movies, of course! Thank you all!
  11. Hello all, We'll be on QM2 in May or January next year but are trying to plan ahead. My husband and I are old movie connoisseurs (as in we love old movies, not old people who watch movies, lol!). Getting room service and watching a great old film might be a good option on a rainy/cold day. I know movies are shown in Illuminations, but they are usually newer releases, maybe with an occasional vintage one thrown in? Is that correct? Are there on-demand movies included through in-cabin cable? Or Turner Classic Movies? Or are DVD players built into the tvs, with dvds available to use? Trying to figure out all our options, thanks, Kris
  12. Hello all, Considering getting the drinks package because a) we like to not have to think about counting drink tabs b) we feel like we could have a lot of fun with variety, and c) we could prepay ahead of time to free money up for other things. The question is, do all bars/venues have items that fit the price criteria? Chart Room, Champagne bar, Sir Samuel's, etc.? We love a quality drink, but it doesn't have to be "top top" shelf. We want to see if the package will exclude us from any place on the ship. Thank you!
