  1. While I understand the need for healthy sleep (I love my sleep), if we had the chance to view this once in a lifetime event on a cruise and no one woke me up I would be most upset….
  2. We were just on the Ascent Retreat in May and can confirm this is correct.
  3. I realize it is none of our business, but I can't help but ponder upon why this would be needed....it is a small room to begin with. Avoiding snoring? One of you would have to sleep out in the hallway for that. One wants to read their ipad in bed and the other needs darkness? The only way to achieve that is a sleep mask. Again, super small space. I think the best option suggested thus far is the have the beds separated and use magnetic hooks to hang a dividing curtain from the ceiling - at least giving the illusion of personal space.....
  4. We were just on the Ascent last month. The top level in the photo is the Sunset Bar - the smoking area I believe is just off the right edge of that photo, and not in the main bar area. The level below is seating aft of the buffet and is non-smoking.
  5. Bonaire passed a policy last year that only one ship per day could visit, unless a second ship held less than 700 people. It looks like there's a Seven Seas ship scheduled for the same day as the Beyond, so Celebrity may have decided to just go ahead and avoid any questions or really last-minute changes and move ports now.
  6. The wide open aft view is kind of a point of Eden, so doubtful they will close it off. I have also seen folks sit up there during shows, trivia and other events, so it really is a multi-use space.
  7. That will happen - it is too early to see your sailing's details on the app yet.
  8. The Magic Carpet/adjacent insides have no living space. They would otherwise fit the bill - there is a hallway door that opens to a small entryway, with two cabin doors off of the entryway. The MC suites do have a larger than normal balcony, if that could count as a living space...
  9. We've been on multiple ships with Disney, Royal and Celebrity and have never had a bridge viewing room. We have paid for "Behind The Scenes" tours that took us to the bridge, engine control room, backstage at the theatre, a galley or two, food storage areas and even a crew bar. The cost was usually between $100 and $150 per person depending on ship. Royal did allow photos in all of the areas, even the bridge, but that was about 10 years ago, so things may have changed. Celebrity also offers a ship's art tour on the Edge class ships.
  10. I counted 58 on the deck plans of the Ascent (note that many of those are listed as obstructed, if that is important).
  11. We booked a GTY suite on our recent Med cruise in Ascent and were assigned a Magic Carpet suite on deck 8. Other than the location of the bathroom door, we loved it. Huge balcony, great midship location.
  12. It is good indeed - neither of those things are importantl to us and we love Celebrity. As to the original question - I’m guessing that they meant seapass cards no longer charge on the last morning, so those extending their stay cannot opt for any additional food, coffee, etc.
  13. I saw on another site that it was a Royal ship that had the outbreak associated with this…
  14. This was our balcony on Ascent last week.
  15. “Everyday” desserts are chocolate cake, creme brulee and apple pie with ice cream.
