  1. Seven months...really?!!! That's crazy. I'm hoping to use my (eventual) FCC on an already booked cruise in May.
  2. It's likely that I will cancel my upcoming Canada cruise due to Hurricane Lee. 😡 I have Book Safe standard which provides a 75% FCC under the "cancel for any reason" clause. My question for anyone who's ever done this is how long do you have to use the FCC and can it be used on an already booked cruise? Thanks.
  3. Moral of the story: bring some meds, wear a mask and keep your mouth shut.
  4. I guess not. https://www.cruisemapper.com/news/12305-carnival-legend-sail-san-francisco
  5. I was thinking of doing that. Did you have to surrender your passport book when applying for the passport card?
  6. This feels like prison communication. Perhaps they should call this site "Redaction Nation".
  7. My passport book will be sent for renewal between cruises and I won't have it for one or two closed-loop Caribbean cruises. Anyone here ever have an issue boarding with birth certificate? Anyone tried using a passport card? Thanks.
  8. I will be taking a cruise ship transfer from Portsmouth to Heathrow. From there I want to get to my hotel which is Premier Inn London Heathrow Airport T2 & T3 (Bath Road). I know it's a short distance, but I don't believe it's very walkable. Should I just get a taxi? Thanks.
  9. These work well, they're inexpensive and don't take up much room in your luggage. https://a.co/d/cDa3HQz
  10. Good afternoon. My wife and I are cruising from Southampton on Oct. 14. I've done a lot of online research, but I'm beginning to get paralysis by analysis. Here are our current plans: Flying into Heathrow on the morning of the 12th. Booked National Express bus from LHR to Southampton (3 hours after scheduled arrival). Staying at the Leonardo Hotel (formerly Jurys Inn) for 2 nights. I'm assuming we'll need a taxi from the bus station to the hotel, is that correct? Is the Leonardo in a decent area? Thanks all!
  11. Don't like someone being a cruise "critic"? Try another website.
  12. Hope you have better than I did. I also booked a 2025 10-day cruise on Celebrity Summit. This week they informed me that it is being cancelled so they can move the ship to Ft. Lauderdale for 7-day itineraries.
  13. I'm surprised you didn't get an e-mail (check your spam folder). My Jan. '25 Summit from SJ was cancelled. It looks like they're relocating to FLL (see attachment). CEL_8_15_23_CAM_CS-EQ-SM-AX_Redeployment_Consumer.pdf
  14. What exactly is the "cancellation date" anyway? I don't care at this point. I have no plans to cruise with Celebrity any time soon. They've had my $900 long enough.
  15. My "canceled" Summit cruise still shows as active. I just cancelled it myself so I can get my $900 refundable deposit back sooner rather than waiting around for them to cancel it. 😡
  16. Yup. My Jan. 2025 Summit cruise was $3,387 including tips and gratuities...and $400 OBC! It was too good to be true.
  17. I just got the e-mail cancelling my Jan. 2025 Summit sailing from San Juan. Wondering how long it will be until I see it removed from my Celebrity account and receive the OBC.
