Sure, as long as it doesn't inconvenience me or cost me more money. Meaningless mandatory testing does both, so while I can certainly live with it, I'm not 100% OK with it. Probably more like 10% "ok" with it.

None of knows how many people are testing positive and cancelling their cruise. Only the cruise lines know and I'm sure that is very useful data. If a ship sails with 3000 passengers and there were 10 cancellations due to positive Covid tests, then it is a much different scenario than if there were 100 cancellations. Allowing 10 people on the ship that "had" Covid a few days prior may not be worth the testing challenges. 100? Sure, maybe....

Do you folks prepay your December rent to "get it out of the way" and have "one less thing to think about?"

Oddly, I had never even tried a bloody Mary until about a year ago because I'm not a big fan of tomato juice. It was actually my DD who encouraged me to try one, and a Grey Goose spicy bloody Mary is now a buffet breakfast staple. 😎 Hey, don't knock it until you try it! 🤣

There you go again.... It appears to be an administrative thing. Nothing to do with "feeling better." If I make two reservations at the same time and they are linked in the NCL system, when I next call to do something with one (apply promo credits, make payments, etc), the agent can immediately see the other as well without having to go through their verification routine. You seem to be suggesting that folks think that this linking is some kind of magic wand that will override many things that could go wrong with reservations. Perhaps some do think that, so it is good that I (we?) help to educate them. You do want to help others in a positive manner, correct?

It's only cheaper if you prepay them and there is an annual price increase between that time and your sail date. I never prepay them.

On my last cruise, they ran out of dark ale. Guinness was the only option and at day five I couldn't get any more (I may have drank it all).

So, your response to my saying that linking doesn't really do anything is to tell us all that linking doesn't do anything. Think about that for a moment. Are you that desperate for an argument? If it makes you feel any better, there have been times when I've later called to discuss a reservation and the agent has acknowledged that it is linked with another.

I have talked to phone reps who agreed to "link" two reservations, but was told that to the best of their knowledge it didn't really do anything. I think, at a minimum, it's a notation in their system that the people in two different cabins are traveling together. It can't hurt, but it may not accomplish much. Who knows?

This doesn't really happen. 99.9% of us couldn't care less who might be wearing a mask. Nobody "rolls eyes" or makes rude comments. That 0.01%? Probably folks who overhear somebody wearing a mask running on about how awful the rest of the world is. For that, I might muster an eye roll....🐀
