Would love to see MSC expand to Mexican Riviera and especially, Alaska. Being on the east coast, I don't think I'd trek over to San Diego for the Mexican Riviera as we just did that in March on Celebrity and airfare is pricey. We'd definitely fly to Seattle for an Alaska cruise on MSC should they ever venture that way.
we sailed Alaska on Celebrity last summer. Alaska was aweome. Seattle, not so much.

On this same topic... do the sales repeat a lot? Right now they have the drink package\wifi sale that ends it one day.... I really want to do this but have to wait a week or so to clarify some dates, Are these sales repeated regularly, Royal Caribbean is known for the sales that end and start right back up a day later, just wondering if this is the same.
The free drink promo pretty much is a constant. If you don't see it, wait a few days.
No big sales until they try booking for fall.

We are sailing on MSC for the first time on June 4.
I submitted a interior YC bid last week.
How long does it typically take to get an answer & will they let us know regardless if we won or lost?
Thanks
It varies, but probably not until you get close to sailing..... They aren't going to sell to you at a discount if someone wants to pay full price.

Absolutely. It's a TA question, not a question for here.
I mean the folks on CC are helpful and nice, but aren't an authority in this area.

Because I thought I might find an answer here from experience ??? I don’t always go straight to BDM unless I really need help.
so instead of asking someone who knows their job, you are soliciting the advice of random strangers on the internet. Makes sense.

Offered to bid on an upgrade. It’s a Travel agent free cabin.

why are you asking here, and not your BDM?

Why? Doesn't MSC use the lights for DND or Make up room?
they do

Please start sailing to St. Thomas and Sint Maarten from Miami.

Suits are not necessary. I was in shorts all week, and loved it.

Well that’s crappy. Why not?
I don't know. They didn't ask me when establishing policy.

Hi fellow cruisers.
First time cruising with MSC this weekend.
On other cruise lines we’ve always kept ourtime the entire week, based on where we cruise out of. However, I’ve seen some posts talking about people changing their times based on the time zone the ship is in.
We are leaving Miami on the Seascape, so are we on Miami time the entire cruise? I don’t want to get left behind in a port. LOL
Thanks in advance.
they give plenty of notice...

Hello,
I have been invited to bid for a number of YC suites. They come with the PE drinks package, but I have already bought one. Should I be successful with the upbid, will I get the purchased PE drinks package cost refunded?
Regards,
Cublet
No, if you are upgraded, you do not get a refund.

simple answer no, but get there after they open, and before the ship sails.

Oh cool. You can wear shorts on the casual nights? I do that on most mainstream lines and nobody bats an eye. I will wear long pants and polo for elegant (gala) night.
I wear shorts every night.....

very few people dress up nowadays. i usually wear shorts every night. Jeans if he likes. dress up is to sell pictures, and that is about it.

last legs? They are sharing a terminal with another line, not the YMCA.

nowadays, you can just claim to identify with whatever you wish. I wouldn't worry about it.

No, not talking about drinking 25 drinks a day because we can.
We are in the YC for the first time on Divina in October. This will be the first time we have the premium drinks package. At home we usually drink the basic cocktails: Old Fashioned, Manhattan, G&T, etc. But we like to try new things, so what are some favorite drinks of yours when you have the package?
We figured what a great way to sample new things. All suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I would try for 25..... lol We were on NCL last year. Tried for the first time a Key Lime Pie Martini, based on asking the bartender. Let them surprise you.

@drselPlease don't revive old threads (repeatedly). If you have something to say, and it's been 4 months, or a year, start a new thread. It's kind of the rule of this forum. By kind of, I mean it is 😁
This thread could be a week old, a year old or a decade old. So what? Valid question.

With YC, there is no added charge on any drink you get. I have not figured out how to prepay the service charge. Just know that it will be $14.00/person/day. and budget accordingly. The service charge is the only additional charge, and is the same rate for YC as for all other classes of travel.
your agent has access to it when they make the booking
Sounds like MSC may ultimately be headed to SoCal/Mexican Riviera & Alaska...
