The problem is theses electric cigarettes. I don't know much about them but saw them being smoked in lido, elevators, and most bars. The people smoking them were concealing them well, the bad oder was very bad.
Carnival also offers Cruising the Vineyards. There are three levels that offer different brands of wine (starting around $150 per package). I think for a 7 day you get 5 bottles for each package. Back before shut down, each person 21 or older could purchase their own package.
We cruised the Glory June 26th through July 3rd. It was a great cruise!!! It was worth the positive covid results on Monday!!! We are booked again in January.
Pros:
1. MDR great service and always had somthing we enjoyed.
2. Steakhouse was excellent the night we went.
3. Live music was great!!! All but one guy, did a great job of keeping a crowd.
4. Bar service was great!!! Many knew us by name and drink!!!
5. Room service was as I remembered before but now done on app/calling.
Cons: ( not bad enough to change our cruising plans)
1. Long lines for everything but bar services. We just used app to order what we wanted delivered.
2. People using hallways as lounges.
3. Carnival no longer enforces smoking rules. People smoked what ever they wanted where ever they wanted.
Again, we loved our cruise and were able to find quiet non smoking areas to enjoy. I would be happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability!
We do not usually use phones on cruises other than the hubb app while in airplane mode. This trip our 18 year old did not want to come with us. So my question is how does wifi calling work? I want to be able to call or text son or be able to get calls/texts from him. I do not want a heavy cell bill when I get home. Thanks for any information and or experience.
We pre-booked and paid for two spa services. When we had finished the services on ship our cards were charged again even though I brought paperwork with me. They claimed it would be removed within 5 to 7 days. I had to go to Guest Services to show my proof of prepayment to have second charges removed. I do not pre-book services anymore. The point in pre-paying was to not have it on our bill while cruising.
6 years ago we went on first Carnival cruise on Elation. There was a storm we were going around but it was a rough ride. Our room was in the front porthole on deck 6. To get down the hall we had to hold on the the walls it was so rough. I remember wedging myself into that Crack in the bed so I would not roll out of bed. LOL!!! My pour husband fell out a time or two. WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!!!
We booked a fishing trip in Grand Cayman and the driver picking us up wants us to call or message him when the ship docks. What's the easiest or cheapest way to do this? Thanks for any information. We do not use phones or internet while cruising normally. We have Verizon if matters.
