Getting snow here. Maybe 4 to 8 inches, who knows. Luckily, I can work at home. I am ready for spring. I will get out later to clear the driveway.
In Pennsylvania we celebrate Fasnacht Day which is a Pennsylvania Dutch tradition. Tradition holds that there was a need to use up the lard, butter, sugar, and eggs before lent as these were typically given up Lent. Less sweet than typical doughnuts, Fasnachts are usually made with mashed potatoes and fried in animal fat. They are square in shape with no hole like a doughnut.
