  1. If it is a full cruise I would highly recommend it! We were on the Escape in June and it was a full cruise! The two sea days we had the pool deck looked like a rave! Just a mass of bodies and it was nice walking up there and knowing you had a spot in the sun to lounge or read. I'm on the Joy in 4 days and 2.5 months ago I had a Vibe pass in my cart and when I went to pay it was gone. I have checked every day since and haven't seen it reappear. I have an early checkin on Saturday and will head to Teppanaki and hope some are available! Have fun!
  2. There has been no addition to the “entertainment” tab on the website or app. I have no idea.
  3. I’m on the Joy in 12 days, 10/11, and Footloose is NO longer showing as an entertainment option!
  4. The 9/22 Cruise was SUPPOSED to be to Bermuda. Because of Fiona there was an alternate schedule of Newport, Portland and St. John’s. The ship disembarked this morning and was deadheading to Port Canaveral. With Ian they were unsure if that was going to happen. The Maitre’d in The Haven this morning told me that they were still going to PC after they had a managers meeting last night. Being back home and nowhere NEAR the ship I just reported what I knew at the time!
  5. I have a cruise 306 days out and have the opportunity to buy Vibe passes. NCL now has my money almost a full year before I even enter the Vibe as opposed to me fighting my way to Guest Service are and hoping for a ticket.
  6. We are currently 60 days out... 9/22 is our embarkation date.
  7. Seems they dropped the price on my next cruise… for us to upgrade to the Haven, through NCL, was $200 more than the minimum bid. We decided to not test date and pulled the trigger. It’s good to check prices from time to time!
  8. Search Youtube for the ship and cabin number. If you cant find "your" cabin you will find one very near your cabin.
  9. That is what I have seen. I've looked at newly announced cruises and 15 is the max they show in any category. I believe on NCL they only show a max of 15 as well... I could be mistaken!
  10. As I mentioned on a previous post there is website you can visit if you are a SCANNER of the SEA. I would put the first capitalized word behind the second. When you find your cruise check the "availability and booking" and it will show what is available in each cabin class up to 15 cabins. I find it a bit easier then doing a mock booking.
  11. I received an email and NOT the banner on the website. I think my cruise is just very open!
  12. We were originally in a Spa Balcony. The minimum bid was 800 and we bid 850. As the cruise got closer I decided I would HATE to lose out because of a few dollars so I bumped it to 895 (it saved me 10 dollars as I was going to bump it to 900) and we won our bid. It seems, and makes sense, that they FILL the Haven on every cruise. You are already paying the staff whether it is a full ship or not and those in the Haven seem to be the upper echelon of their staff.
  13. In March on the Epic we were upgraded to the 2 bedroom Haven and that bathroom was AWESOME. The full window in the shower was so cool!
  14. Wolft I disembark the Getaway the day you embark and there are currently 53 Haven suites open. I dropped the Minimum bid on 5 or 6 of them. As I stated earlier I was surprised to get the email 110 days out.
  15. Well I got the "Upgrade" email 3 days ago... a mere 110 days out. Putting in some bids and crossing fingers!
  16. They do not tell you if you were denied… at least that has been my experience.
  17. It is actually "processing" is what you want to see. Hopefully the "pending" will move to "processing"... Hope I didn't steer you wrong!
  18. The "pending" means you will be awarded your upgrade. Congratulations!
  19. I use a third party website to do a fake booking and it will show all of the cabins, actually it limits it to 15 cabins per class. If you were a scanner of the sea you could do the same thing. (I would put together the 8th and 5th word of that last sentence!)
  20. When you win the bid you can print out the NEW luggage tags!
  21. Im not sure about the Jewel layout, but when we were on the Epic there weren't any cabins near the elevators. To access the cabins from the elevator bank you need the key card. We had a 2 bedroom on the Epic and in a word it was AWESOME! Because of the Haven experience we are fully planning on bidding on our next cruise, which currently is pretty empty!
