  1. Yes - absolutely In fact any no fcc change should only apply to new bookings made after the change has been announced.
  2. Top booking Dave - nice one. I was hoping explorer 2 would have an Asian option.
  3. If testing is required but FCC full amount not offered anymore if boarding denied then that would be the end for me - and perhaps a lot of us. I think p&o will probably still offer this or perhaps a slightly reduced FCC until all testing is stopped. It would be madness to book and pay for a holiday that you may not be allowed to go on due to a test and then have to go to insurance. 🤞
  4. ! Surprise ! Nothing on website yet - will this area just be for the new ship do you think ?
  5. Hope it stays the same. I couldn’t afford to risk losing the cruise and having to claim on insurance.
  6. Thanks for that - I was looking at ambassador conditions and it looks like with them you have to claim on your insurance - they don’t offer anything from what I can see.
  7. Testing Is not really having any significant effect anymore .
  8. CDC in the US have stopped all their monitoring of cases on cruises. At some point all mandatory testing will stop everywhere. There are no tests for any other infectious diseases. I am not saying this is right or wrong - but I think it’s inevitable.
  9. Yes True - I was going back in time. It’s not nice when over busy.
  10. I’ve been on explorer 2 once and superb crew - really welcoming and friendly and efficient - I’ve booked again for May 2023 - same ship. food in MDR perhaps not as good as some others but good enough and great selection of included drinks. And a turn down service ! Will try the speciality restaurants next time.
  11. It Implies any LFT - home or otherwise - Is there a list of approved ones ? I’m not sure there is ?
  12. I’ve never known anyone who tried cruising for the first time who didn’t like it - even the die hard sceptics - you know , the ones who say it’s not for them/stuck on a ship/blah blah
  13. The ones I ordered through NHS when they were available are exactly the same as the ones I just got from Tesco. nostril only - 5 times each one - 2/3 drops onto white plastic test strip. £2 a pop.
  14. Ok thanks - good to know . Ill stick with the limo.
  15. Do you still use this service kenmure or do you drive yourself now after these mishaps ?
  16. Also - are the drivers / firms involved normally good at making sure they are tested before pick up ?
  17. Thanks Kenmure - I agree - do you know how easy it is to contact saga quickly if the driver has not been tested ? it would probably be too late to organise port parking so would probably have to get a cab and get reimbursed somehow. is there a direct number for private transfer queries ? I am beginning to think it’s better to drive and park myself now - I still have time to arrange .
  18. Yes - as far as I know - and that includes the driver - unless something has changed recently.
  19. Only danger is if the driver tests positive - I read of someone who had a private saga transfer and the driver tested positive and they were denied boarding.
