Hi, This cabin and the opposite starboard side one are still available when many others have been booked. I am wondering if there are problems with it being near the skydome, very busy or smells from the cooking/smoking areas? Has anyone stayed in this cabin/area and let me know what they thought. Many thanks as it is a trip to the Norwegian fjords.

Finally decided to bite the bullet and go on our first cruise! We are lucky to have a window of opportunity to go end of August/September and I'm not picky about the destination as long as it leaves from Southampton. I'm currently watching prices and availabilities but don't know if I should wait until the 90 day payment window when some more cabins may become available or wait until just before sailing to grab a bargain - or am I just deluding myself 😀

It will just come for publicity and maybe a short jaunt and then off to warmer climes and more profitable routes.

Icon is far too big for me. Quantum class may be pushing it but might be ok outside of school holidays.

Yes, that is definately one that I am interested in but Voyager has disappeared for 2023.

While waiting for the new schedule to come out, I am just musing about the ships that might be located out of Southampton, Amsterdam and Copenhagen. Gonna guess Anthem will be back to Southampton and Jewel to Amsterdam but will Voyager make a return to Copenhagen for 2024 or has that ship sailed 😀 Anyone want to take a guess at which ships might make it acrross the pond?

Luckily airfare is not a problem as we are a train travelling family and know the european routes quite well 😀 But as my DH is reluctant to try cruising (son is along for a free holiday) and I want to, the room needs to be ideal for their needs and a last minute room isn't going to tick those boxes 😂

That's what i've been doing too and noticed the same kind of thing that basically the fare stays the same with gimmicks added to make it look more attractive. I think I shall aim for the release date and then keep an eye out.

I understand that you can get the best choice of cabins but is the price always lower than say in the 'wave' season? Booking from the UK means the adjustment if the cruise drops closer to sail date is not automatically applicable to us. I will still check and try my luck (if the price drops0 but am trying to work out the best time to book as I am picky about the room location and don't want to risk a last minute bargain. Any tips are most welcome.

Mid september is as late as we can go due to son's university starting back up.

Thank you all for your replies, now I just have to wait for the 2024 routes to come out. I'm hoping for a route that will include Naples (Pompeii) and La Spezia (Cinque Terre). Don't mind a roundtrip from Barcelona but would quite like a one way trip between Barcelona and Rome/Venice 🤞

Hi, looking to book a 7 day western med cruise for 2024 and am interested when people consider the 'best' time. We can go from about the 20th June through to 15th September and would like to avoid the school holidays in July and August. Would late June or early September be better for quieter destinations, not so heaving ships and warm but not roasting weather? Thanks
