Gettting ready to book our return flights home. Any advice on how long of a layover I should schedule when departing Marseille and transit through Frankfurt?? Have seen some negative comments about Frankfurt airport.

Thanks again for the responses to my previous posts. Really helped. New question we are close to booking the Rhine Rhone cruise which obviously requires a change of ships. How is this handled, i.e. with respect to luggage, new cabin assignments, etc?

Thank you all for the feedback on Avalon vs Viking. Really appreciate the comments which confirms where we were leaning. Now we need to narrow down which crusie/destination. Leaning toward at least 14 days in June. We are planning this trip to celebbrate our 50th (got married VERY young so still very mobile and active 😉)

After many ocean cruises we are just planning our first river cruise for next June. Choosing a destination and more importantly a cruise line is a bit challenging. Can someone share how Avalon compares to Viking?
