  1. The app was down for me last night, and still appears to be down. But as this is Celebrity's IT I am not shocked.
  2. I know this question has been addressed on this board before, but I can not find it using the search function. I converted points into OBC for my upcoming sailing months ago and they still haven't appeared on my account. Who do I contact to get this fixed?
  3. What are your secrets for getting the cruise weight to quickly come off? (Asking for a friend....)
  4. I have to admit I am a little jealous. I am probably in the minority, but I enjoy feeling a ship move and always hope to go through a big storm like you are (preferably in the evening or during a sea day so as not to interrupt a possible shore excursion). Unfortunately for me the Caribbean is usually calm and, if not, the captains are always too eager to go around the storms if they can. Where is their sense of adventure?
  5. I still remember most of the napkins designs I learned in cruise ships in the 80s and 90s! Your list brought back some fun memories.
  6. @jam19872016 is doing a live on Constellation and heading back to Florida (docking tomorrow) and has been describing the crazy rough seas and storms they are currently sailing through. Probably the same storm front. Hopefully for all involved the rain stops soon.
  7. I saw that movie! If the ship flips over you need to make your way to the bottom of the ship (now the top) and wait for help. 😄
  8. Today would have been a tough choice for me for dessert. I love pecan pie, cheesecake, and mousse - but have to limit myself to one item to save room for the Al Bacon tortes! Glad you took one for the team and sampled multiple so we have a review! Sure am going to miss this live after tomorrow. :(. Two weeks to go for us and and I am already hungry!
  9. Thank goodness they caught the door issue before you took off! With what happened to the Alaska flight recently, not to mention all the other odd plane issues with cargo doors opening and other door issues, I am a bit nervous about flying these days!
  10. Can the battery for the scooter by easily removed? If so, try taking it out and wiping down the connections.
  11. Celebrity always does duck well, in my opinion! I hope a chocolate lava cake is in our (viewing) future!
  12. I can admit to two... per visit (and the number of visits per day is confidential info).
  13. I sort of wonder if some of the liveliness (or not) of a ship is sort of based on who the Cruise Director is? All of the Celebrity ships I have been on have been quite lively, but they all also had younger, latin, male CDs who seem to enjoy party dancing. I have never sailed on a ship with Sue as a CD, but based on her YouTube channel and interviews I've seen, she seems to have more of a calmer lounge act vibe to her personality. I am thinking the different personalities might influence the entertainment schedule somewhat?
  14. I don't think there is an actual dedicated piano bar, but the current sailings have had a piano bar singer performing several nights in Eden. I am hoping he is still there in a few weeks because I love piano bars. Might be worth your while to donate a few bucks to the casino to see if you get some more free offers.
  15. You would love the food choices on the Edge-class ships... even the buffet has lots of options. The four dining rooms all have their own special items (which you can request at any of the four main dining rooms) so it expands the menu options by a bit, too! And usually there is a good mix of entertainment in the evenings.
  16. Thanks. I think I am definitely going to add that poached pear into my "must try" list for my upcoming cruise. You've inspired me with this thread that I may try to do a LIVE in a couple weeks when we are on Ascent. I usually take pictures of my food anyway, and there seems to be enough people here who love hearing about the food as much as I do so I might as well share!
  17. That looks like a good combination. I may have to get a risotto to go with my lobster next month.
  18. These are the posts I look forward to all day! Enjoy your meal!
  19. Okay, I typically eat a lightish lunch in the buffet and grab dessert there, then hit up Al Bacon later in the day for an afternoon chocolate tortes snack. The buffet desserts are never all that great, with the exceptions being chocolate mousse and cannoli when they appear. My new plan for my upcoming cruise in April is to head directly to Al Bacon for dessert and ignore the buffet desserts. Better use of my calories that way. Plus, on the Ascent it is quite a hike from the buffet to Al Bacon, so "exercise!"
  20. Ugh... not liking the sound of that. Ft. Lauderdale is my favorite Port to sail out of but I won't take short cruises that are under a week.
