Ours was Port Canaveral but our experience was that we received an email about a week before the cruise listing the Key benefits, which also said that we could check in between 11 and 11:30. If we could not make that window, then we were instructed to checking at the time from our online checkin. The Key guests were called to board right after the suite guests.

To the OP, I just found this thread yesterday and read through the whole thing. I am so sorry for all you have been through and glad you are finally testing negative. I just want to thank you for sharing your experience. We are on a Med cruise in July and it's been very helpful.

As our cruise gets closer, I'm wondering what specific plans people from the US are making in case they (1) test positive in a foreign country before embarkation and can't board or (2) test positive before returning to the US and can't fly home. We will be in London for a week before our cruise and then sailing from Ravenna . Currently, my plan is to test using the proctored eMed test before we leave London the day before the cruise. That way, if we are positive, we are at least in a country where we speak the language to make arrangements to quarantine before returning home. Then, we plan to test on the ship the morning that we disembark (we are scheduled to fly out the next day), again using the eMed tests, so that if we are positive, we can at least ask for help from RCCL to make quarantine arrangments. This seems like a reasonable plan to me but should I be doing more to prepare for the possibility of having to quarantine in another country?

I am very sorry to hear this as it must be so disappointing for you and unsettling to have all your plans upset. I don't have advice, just good wishes and appreciation for the fact that you are posting as I have been wondering what would happen if I tested positive on my cruise on the Brilliance later this summer.
