See from the video below what Icon looks like in motion when she left for her sea trials earlier this week!According to current information, all the tests of the sea trial program can be completed as outlined in the original schedule, despite the fact that the departure for the sea trial was slightly delayed due to wind conditions.Icon will return to dock on Thursday 22.6. as planned, after which work on Icon will resume. Food portions left over from the sea trial will be donated to charity."

There's always tugs helping when they leave or arrive at the shipyard 🙂

With pieces of Mein Schiff 7 being delivered below.😁
I was there taking photos of those pieces but without the drone because I thought there were flight restrictions when it arrived.

Lots of visitors today at t.he Marina and a beautiful day out there. @Eremita85 Maybe it’s happening later today?
The estimate is 21-22 local time today due to strong winds.

It is "way cool" but does it look ready to maneuver this huge ship this week-end through sea trials? Of course my disclaimer is I am a retired nurse and do have a degree in engineering or navigation.
😄 where's the chairs? Are they going to stand there whole week?
PS. oh I see at least one chair! Maybe that's enough.-

What a beautiful view! Do people who live there enjoy watching the ships being built?
Quite a lot of people pass by to look at the ships either from the Raisio Marina or from the nature trail that runs along the opposite shore. Of course, not everyone likes the look of the Icon but the size of the ship alone is something that many people come to see.

Almost completed 😀👍
Have they started painting the name on the Starboard side? They are probably trying to get the name on before the Sea trials.
Thanks as always for sharing your photos.
Noup, the painting on the starboard side is a bit unfinished anyway as you can see from the webcam:

There are four lifeboats waiting at the shipyard and if I understood correctly, four of them will be taken to the sea trials. One is already waiting in the water near the bow, the other is on the other side sitting on the dock. They have also started painting the BIG name on the port side of the ship.Bonus photo: The mystery ball #2 for the upcoming Icon 2 have made an appearance.10.6.2023

@topanga49er See photo that @Eremita85 was kind enough to share here with us. Can you now make out your cabins 😀?
One more photo of that area from tonight.

I think my cabin is the one with the red maker I added in front of the balcony. I have always wondered since booked it if I chose wisely and if I should have chose deck 16 instead. None were available at the time and I was not sure how much obstruction there could be from the Aquadome. I know, first world problem 😀.

Thanks for the heads up on the new photos by Finki. Initially I thought could be how the light was reflecting on the bow making it seem white again. But then from other angles it looked blue. So I do agree with you that now it definitely looks blue.
Do either you or Finki have a closed up photo of the forward suites cabins on deck 16 and 17 starboard side that are shareable here or on IG? Thanks. The suite cabins close to the Aquadome have been covered up for a long time. Curious to see the area uncovered since my cabin is in that area 😀As always appreciate you sharing info and your spectacular photos.
Must be my timing but I thought you guys were out there again earlier today. 😀. If I ever make it over there I will definitely by you guys a drink at a minimum.
Can you put a deck plan of that forward suite cabin area? I'm not that familiar with the area. Not sure about Finki but at least I wasn't there today 😄 something is happening at the shipyard in a few days because one of our tugs will need a pilot. Maybe they're going to move the pontoon cranes on the side of the Icon out of the way before the sea trials. Also they can lift some of the lifeboats on the starboard side then as well.
