  1. I hope you don't mind me adding in other cruise lines. We are looking at a Europe - Baltic cruise. Just came off the Haven (upgraded) on the Bliss and loved it. We are now hooked. As stated, looking at a Europe/Baltic cruise and was wondering about the MSC Yacht Club, so thanks for the responses above. I would also like to know if anyone has traveled on Celebrity in the Retreat? How do they compare? Are there any other cruise lines that have the "ship within a ship" and how do they compare?
  2. We are also doing the January 7 reverse cruise. Can you tell me how many times they offered the laundry special and when? Thanks.

  4. Does anyone know if they have video poker in the Bliss casino?
  5. We prepaid our gratuities at the rate of a balcony when we originally booked. We have since won a bid to upgrade to a Haven Ste. When I go on line, it does not allow me to pay the difference in gratuities. I called NCL and she said we are showing the rate of a balcony and because we won the upgrade to Haven, we do not have to pay the difference in gratuities. We are talking $120 if we pay before December 31. With the price increase we are talking $270 if they surprise us to pay this on the ship. This doesn't make sense to me, but heh, if it's true, I'll take it! If you were upgraded and paid your gratuities prior to the upgrade, did you have to pay the increase?
  6. For those who have used a concierge in the Haven, when do you tip them? I plan to use them to get show reservations and should I have any problems. When is it appropriate to tip them (at the time of service or at the end of the trip?)
  7. Somehow our emails were linked for NCL and we were both receiving the same emails. Unfortunately, they were not for the company that handles the upgrades. He's always complaining that we use my email and my info when booking (you know, has to be the macho man) so he wanted to use his this time. He rarely checks his emails. Maybe he learned his lesson on this one!! The one good thing about having to cancel all our bids was that when I reentered, I could put in my email.
  8. So here's what happened - in case you are interested. So they did offer us the Haven PH w/lg balcony. Because my husband did not see the email until 4 days later, the room was already issued to someone else and we lost out. Since there were still rooms open, I wanted to get the credit card number corrected. In order to do that, I had to cancel out all my bids and then reenter them. I made sure the credit card # was correct. We did not hear anything again - until today. They upgraded us to the same room class. So I'm happy.
  9. Just received our upgrade to the Haven for our Panama Canal trip. Does anyone know if laundry is included? I don't see it on web site, but I thought I read on the board that is was or at least at 1/2 price.
  10. So the ship doesn't give you times to disembark based on your flight? Are you saying it a 'free for all' to leave when you want to? (I've never cruised on NCL so I'm not familiar with their procedures.)
  11. I know you can take your own luggage off the ship when you disembark and you're usually the first ones off. On a different line when we used a transfer to the airport, we had to put our luggage out the night before. When we disembarked, we got to ground level and then had to search in a sea of luggage for it. Although it was in the 'color' category, it was a large area and the luggage was spread out. Trying to collect it while 100's of others were doing the same was just insane to me. I would rather just carry it off when our time is called. We purchased the transfer from the dock to the airport. Will we be able to carry it off ourselves or will we have to set it out the night before?

  15. I checked in yesterday for our cruise. If I click on the e-docs button, it gives me everything except luggage tags. (On another cruise line, we received them with our documentation. When/how will we get the luggage tags?
