I've read on this board that meals can take 2 hours to finish. Is it possible to order all your courses at once to try to speed up the process?

I called Princess today to get info on a cruise we are looking to book. Once he gave me all the info he asked me if I would like to hear about some upcoming promotions that Princess was offering, thinking this was about some more benefits I aggreed to hear about this... Finally another man came on with a British accent and started his spill. He then sent me this email with all the iinfo; ,
It was a pleasure speaking with you today and reviewing all the amazing ways you can cruise with princess.
Per our conversation, a Princess Future Cruise Package provides incredible incremental value and flexibility by allowing you to reserve your next Princess cruise without having to commit to a specific sail date. Priced at $7,499, your package includes $6,000 of Future Cruise Credits, $300 of Onboard Credits, $750 of Hotel Credits, and one 7-night Stay Certificate plus two 2-night Stay Certificates. Here’s a bit more information on each of the package components:
Future Cruise Credits (FCCs)
Future Cruise Credits allow you to purchase your Princess cruise(s) once you are ready to book. Each FCC is worth $1, allows you to sail over the next 24 months, and can be used towards any future cruise booking with Princess. FCCs may be applied to one cruise or multiple cruises - the choice is yours!
Onboard Credits (OBCs)
An Onboard Credit (OBC) is a dollar amount that will be credited to your account for the first cruise booked as part of your Princess Future Cruise Package. Onboard Credits can be applied to expenses charged using your Princess Medallion during your cruise and can also be used as credit towards shore excursions, beverages, items purchased in the Shops of Princess, and services at the Lotus Spa.
Hotel Credits
Hotel Credits are exclusive to Princess Future Cruise Packages and allow you to save on hotel rooms found in the Princess Promotions hotel store. This booking engine includes tens of thousands of hotels around the world, including some of your favorite resort and island locations. Your Hotel Credits expire in 24 months, giving you plenty of time to find your next exciting destination.
Stay Certificates
Your package includes one 7-night Stay Certificate plus two 2-night Stay Certificates that can be used to reserve accommodations, at thousands of top-rated hotels and resorts around the world. You can combine your Stay Certificates as a pre- or post-stay with your cruise or use it for an entirely separate vacation. Like your cruise, you must complete your stay within 24 months of purchasing your package. Where will you go?

Ok there are no to go items.
That's easy. They dont want the extra work of preparing special to go meals. I can understand making a exception for the poster below whose husband had a migraine, hopefully she tipped well for the extra work and inconvenience.
If he had a migraine I'm sure he wouldn't want to be eating!

This is the info that I found yesterday, but as of today I cannot get through to Quest. We did make an App on the Quest website for two days before our Oct 30 sailing on the Horizon, but when we were finished, the info said we needed a script to have the test done. Plus it gave no info on the cost of the test. Has anyone else tested or tried to test with Quest?
Carnival Corp. Partners with Quest for Easy-Access Pre-Cruise COVID-19 Tests
by Dori Saltzman / September 16, 2021 Carnival Corporation & plc has partnered with Quest Diagnostics to provide easy-access pre-cruise COVID-19 testing appointments to cruisers booked on any Carnival brand. The partnership comes just as Carnival Corp. institutes the CDC’s new two-day pre-cruise testing directive (replacing the previous 72-hour requirement).“Access to testing continues to play an important role in the restart of our guest operations, and working with Quest simplifies the process for our guests by making it easier to access convenient testing options from a trusted national laboratory provider,” said Roger Frizzell, chief communications officer for Carnival Corp. “These testing protocols are part of our layered approach to safeguarding the health and safety of our guests, crew, and the communities we visit.”
The program streamlines pre-cruise preparation for cruisers by giving them convenient access to more than 1,500 Quest Diagnostics patient service centers and retail pharmacy testing locations throughout the U.S.
All tests must be taken no more than two days before embarkation. For example, if a cruise leaves on a Saturday, cruisers should schedule their tests for the Thursday before embarking.
Cruisers booked on any of the Carnival Corp. brands (Carnival, Princess, Holland America, and Seabourn) will receive an email with a secure link to book an appointment. PCR test results are typically delivered in one to two days.

After reading today that Carnival made an agreement with Quest Diagnostics we decided to make an appointment to have our Covid test done there. We filled out all of our info online, made the appointment for the end of Oct,. We got our confirmation number, then we read that we need a script to have the test performed. My question is : Have any of you needed a script to take the test?

After all the stress of getting a test appointment and reading all the info here on CC our testing day finally arrived this morning.
We will be leaving on the Magic this Thursday (Sept 23), so today was the day.
Yes, we are fully vaccinated.
We live on the Florida treasure Coast.
I originally had made an appointment with Quest, but when everything changed to two days, they could not guarantee results on time.
It was time to look at CVS and Walgreens...
The closest CVS offering a rapid test for us was 40 miles away and they would take an appointment 2 weeks out, so I made the appointment.
Walgreens would only take appointments 3 days out, but they were down the block.
I was concerned that Carnival would not accept this test but our neighbors kids were on the Magic two weeks ago and did this same Walgreens test and had no problem.
Awaking at 1 AM Saturday morning, I made the appointments, and cancelled CVS.
Our appointments was at 9:30 and 9:45 respectively.
We showed up at the drive-through at 9:15 and we able to begin. They checked out ID, and never asked for any proof of insurance.
Cost $0
For the both of us took all of 10 minutes, maybe. We were home again by 9:30.
By 10AM we both received our email link.
Below is a shot of the results.
I wanted to share this in case anyone had any doubts.
This was quick and easy.
Now it's time to get ready for a Guy's burger and A Thirsty Frog!!!
Thanks for sharing

Yes, they work for Carnival. You have the option with Carnival to have one assigned to you (or if you have a referral phone number/e-mail you can contact them directly.). It is normally easier to get through to them on the phone than the general Carnival number.
To get one assigned you can go to the carnival main page and click on "request a PVP
Thanks foe your In this world of everything being abreviated

Most of the time we book Carnival through our PVP. She's simply the best. Occasionally we'll book with a 3rd party TA when they've obviously cut a deal with a particular cruiseline and are selling (dumping) at well below advertised prices. I never bypass my PVP if the price differential is inconsequential.
This may sound like a dump question but I'm confused with a PVP. Do they work for Carnival?

On most of our cruises we have booked with an outside cruise agent, and been happy with our price, which we did this time for our Oct 30 B2B cruise on the Carnival Horizon. My question is do you get a better deal booking straight with Carnival or and outside cruise agency?

On our upcoming cruise we have all day in Aruba which we have never had. I'm up for suggestions on what we could do. We have rode horses at the Gold Mine Ranch 3 times which we truly enjoyed and hope to do it again. We don't snorkel so that's out. Thanks

We have a B2B cruise on the Horizon on :Oct 30-Nov 7. We will be flying a day early arriving in Miami at 12:49. What are your opinions on when and where we should get our Covid testing done? For our Nov7 cruise they do the testing on the ship. Thanks in advance

It all depends on how many pictures you plan to buy versus how many you get in the package and what it costs for each scenario. Another factor is do you have something you can do with the extra pictures? Since we only buy a few for display in our house the package hasn't seemed worth it.
Thanks for your answer. Would it be too much to ask you the price of the picks!
-
We have always bought the Welcome onboard pic and a few others on our cruises. My question is : Is it worth purchasing the special that is offered before you cruise or just wait until you board and purchase each individual pics.

OP, I love your review. I think we should cruise together sometime. My goal at every port is try the local beer and pick a something local. Love the Christmas ornaments, fun to buy and to put on our tree each year.
We were on the July 10th Horizon cruise and loved the Sunny Girls Trio - so much fun to sit in the lobby and enjoy their music. But I have to say the Horizon had one of my least favorite casinos. Just too smoky and drink service was slow. I usually just went to the neighboring sports bar and got my own drink.
I also try to have a local beer at every port plus buy a Christmas Ornament from the ports.

On the Panorama right now in the thermal spa area. This group of 6 comes into the adults relaxation area with their 3 year old kid screaming and crying while we are relaxing on the stone loungers. My wife and I look at each other and are like “are you kidding me right now?”. My wife and I give them the evil eye and they apologize and a guy takes the screaming kid out . Ten minutes later the comes right back in with the screaming kid and starts undressing the kid down to his bathing suit and starts handing this crying kid to his mother in the whirlpool. We are just floored . Again, are you kidding me ? I immediately got up and went out to the spa desk and told them. They were in shock and apologized profusely and ran in and got them out of there. I mean this an adults only vaccinated area and yet here you trying to throw your crying brat into the whirlpool. There is never a shortage of ignorance around …. Could tell they were not happy with me and my actions but ask me if I care as if we were in the wrong . Unreal ….
You did the right thing and thank you for doing it. In today's world it seems that rules do not matter!
