  1. Young adults can be so clueless. You don’t know what you don’t know. Well, they do now. Unfortunately that’s how we sometimes learn. Prayers for a quick recovery…personally and financially.
  2. You have clearly stated why your credit score will get dinged. Thank you.
  3. And, Uplift is considered to be a consumer finance company which at least one of the credit bureaus, Experian, will lower your credit score even if you make all payments on time.
  4. Like you, probably wouldn’t pay extra for the filet in MDR as filets are available in a couple specialty restaurants as well as Cagneys.
  5. Yes, I am aware of the entire menu. My original comments only referred to the Every Day choices…which is the first page of the menu. I agree the food was on par with NCL and perhaps the best filet I’ve ever been served was in MSC Butcher Cut.
  6. From what I can tell (not trialed) you can actually be near your muster deck in advance (no stairs), once called, get card scanned, wait until elevators work (ie, grab a drink), then once back in cabin, watch video and call that number. I only say this because we watched the video, followed directions and got a letter which said we didn’t watch the video. Rewatched the video, dialed in the # and all good.
  7. Yay…let the vacation begin. Really looking forward to following along. I am pretty certain you will love your experience, especially since you got upgraded to YC.
  8. You know, I’ve read this a couple times…but have not yet adhered. This is another reminder. Thanks.
  9. Hope you and your family have an amazing cruise. Seattle is so fun too. Be sure your son gets to see The Gum Wall just outside Pikes Market. He will be in awe.🤣 Being a FL, NE GA girl, I at least had my fair share of colder weather clothing. Because of layering, I found I really didn’t wear half of what I brought. Layer up for daytime excursions, layered down once back on the ship. My biggest wonder…how to keep legs warm with dresses without wearing tights. I found support pantyhose (not just the control top) was perfect. I also found the biggest space eater was shoes. Sneaks, hiking boots, slip ons, evening. Happy cruising…we’re hoping to do a mid-May Vancouver to Seward cruise next year.
  10. I hope your TA drops a “thanks” on your post.
  11. I think they went overboard. But we still enjoyed MSC a lot and would sail them again.
  12. I found a post on MSC board and here the newest menu for US sailings..at least those out of Florida.
  13. Sorry @JIMESOPUS for hijacking your topic. We sailed Seaside 8/27-30 out of Port Canaveral and unfortunately these were not the menus. I wish I had taken a picture of the menus. On the classic favorites, the Jumbo Shrimp are now Baby Shrimp, no more French Onion Soup, or Salmon, the only pasta was the Bolognaise, the chicken is now fried and the beef choice is meatloaf. I knew about the menu modification so I purposely snapped a picture of my shrimp cocktail so I could have a little chuckle as a reminder.
  14. Last month MSC made significant changes to the US sailings MDR menus. They added a $5 charge for second entree, and the everyday menu choices were whittled down. Now offering Meatloaf and Fried Chicken, Mac & Cheese. I guess they don’t see us US cruisers as having a very refined palette.
  15. Do you book online or via phone direct to an agent. Do you ever get the upgrade bid emails from NCL (not important to me just curious).
  16. I am certain this has been answered before, but I didn’t find the answer in last few pages. can I use a TA site to book then call WP to upgrade?
  17. I just completed a mock booking comparing both sites for an Alaskan cruise in mid-May. Apples to Apples the one site saved 12%. Pretty amazing.
  18. Thanks. I had to switch from Chrome to Safari to make it work.
  19. @RocketMan275 do you need to be a member to do mock bookings? I’m asking because my tablet goes gray part way through the booking. Don’t know if it is a tablet issue or that I’m not logged in.
  20. Actually we have always used a PCC, but I have recently discovered a program that offers same pricing with significant OBC along with 2x miles awards. Plus I can use my NCL card for 3x WP.
  21. Thanks. Do you know if there is a price drop after final payment can I request a FCC through NCL? Or does the TA need to request it?
  22. If I book on a travel agent site, once I attach my Latitudes # to the booking, will it show up on my account so I can add excursions, dining, etc without going through TA?
  23. Be flattered. This is your queue to introduce (reintroduce) others to your approach to disembark in SEA. Lots of us on CC are new. JS 😊
