Well this might be more detailed and of higher quality and price than you are looking for, but Scherbak models has a lovely 1:1250 scale waterline models of the Caribbean Princess. It is 89.00 including shipping

Well Arte Nautica has a few new models that are looking exciting to me. They have produced models of the Windstar, Black Prince, Amerikanis, Atlantis/Emerald Seas and the latest Cunard Caronia (ex Vistafjord). I have only seen pictures, but I am very excited for these. It is about time some one finally modeled some of these ships, and these look lovely to me.. though I am most excited for the Amerikanis and Atlantis of Chandris Line.
I think he will be listing them in his ebay store
You can also email to place orders at:
I think that other paint jobs will be available, ie Amerikanis in Costa colors, and Atlantis as Emerald Seas or Ocean Voyager.

Latest pic of the collection, though the top shelf did not make it into the frame.. I am still amazed how large the Oasis is.

I received some new models from Arte Nautica and photgraphed them with some other members of the fleet.
From top to bottom, Sextant Homeric, Arte Nautica Atlantic, Mercator Oceanic, Hansa Doric
From top to bottom, Hein Muck (repainted) Oceanic, Arte Nautica Atlantic, and the Royale was bought on ebay, I think it was sold on board.
Mercator's Oriana and Arte Nautica's Adonia
Finally a few MSC ships, Poesia by Scherbak and Lirica and Melody by Arte Nautica

And other hard to find models here at his ebay shop. I have ordered 4 or 5 models and will let you know what I think of them.

This is how the Norway looked when she was first converted in 1980.
Here is how she looked after her 90's conversion which added two decks of suites on the top decks.
And unfortunatley here she is at Alang being scrapped in 2008

I am not sure if Carnival ever made a model of the Festivale, but I have seen the ship in 1:1250 scale, which would make the model about 7.5 inches long. The same modeler who made the Mardi Gras above has also modeled the Festivale. I would suggest emailing him and asking if he has any Festivales in stock, or if he can produce one for you.
His email is artenautica@tiscali.it

Nice!
Looks like you have the Mardi Gras in your CCL fleet. That's a holy grail for a lot of collectors. ;)

Here is my collection of Carnival models, minus the Carnival Splendor.

ckcb4u2 , I was wondering, I noticed in your pictures that you have a 1.1250 waterline Carnival Celebration. How on earth did you manage to get this!? I noticed that on the website, that this ship is not even in production yet. And was also wondering, if maybe you could posts some pictures of the model?
Corey
The model is actually of the Jubilee, which is the Celebration's sister. It is by Carlo Marquardt, CM-KR 75
In general it seems out of stock right now. But I did recently see a resin version of the model for sale on ebay.co.uk from a modeler in Italy. It is of the Celebration, and is for sale for 59.99 UK Pounds

I collect 1:1250 scale waterline models of ocean liners and cruise ships. I have about 300 models.

I just received a custom made 1:1250 scale model of MV Atlantic (1982) of Home Lines. I am really happy with the model. While it is made of wood, and really light, I think it gets the propotions of the ship just right. Here are a couple of pictures of the model with my Sextant Homeric (1985), also of Home Lines

Great models of the Carnival ships!!

She sailed as the Sea Venture for Flagship Cruises, and her sister was the Island Venture. The Island Venture was first chartered to Princess as the Island Princess, and eventually both were sold to Princess in 1974, with the Sea Venture taking the soon to be famous name Pacific Princess.

The Pacific Princess sailed for Princess until 2003, when she was sold to Pullmantur Cruises in Spain and sailed as the Pacific

In turn she was chartered to Quail Cruises in 2008 and continued to sail as Pacific.

She is currently laid up in Genoa, where she has been for 2 years.

Nice shot of the Degrasse

modelman are your 1:1250 models made from wood? I found a website selling these models and I want to make sure im buying the right thing
Most are metal, some are resin. Which site have you seen with wood ones?

Lovely wooden models I have of the Bremen and Europa.

I recently received teh Oasis of the Seas model, in the same scale as all my other models. Here she is, first with the old Song of Norway, RCCL's first ship, and the with the Norway, to give an idea of the size of the ship. Finally a picture of the whole collection, showing her nestled in her spot on the second shelf from the bottom.

And sadly sinking

Just received lots of pictures from Scherbak of their newest release, the Oasis of the Seas 1/1250 scale waterline model. Wow this is a monster model, with just incredible detail.
Extreme closeup looking down the "Boardwalk"
And towering over a few of her fleetmates: Radiance of the Seas, Voyager of the Seas, Navigator of the Seas, and the former largest cruise ship the Freedom of the Seas. She is just such a large, wide, tall ship / model.
I am so excited to receive this one. When I do, I can promise some fun comparison pictures with all my other models!!

Instead of the ones offered on the cruise ship, I collect 1:1250 scale waterline models, which are somewhat more accurate, but with a commiserate price increase. There is / has been a great deal of models available for purchase, ranging from early classic atlantic liners to the latest cruise ships. I currently have the Oasis of the Seas on order, and my collection now numbers in the range of 300 models.

No, most are pre-finished. There are numerous manufacturers in Germany, the UK and the States that make them.

I collect waterline models of cruise ships and ocean liners in the 1:1250 scale. I thought you all might be interested in seeing my collection of Carnival ships. I have a collection that ranges from the old Carnivale and Mardi Gras, up to the new Destiny class.
