  1. Are you still having to book for the theatre or can you just walk in? What is the likelihood of getting into the MDR when they open for the evening, which I assume is 6 o’clock. ( it was 5.30 on Iona and Arvia which is great for us and 5 o’clock on Princess , even better)
  2. We will be Caribbean on our next cruise and tbh I don’t mind if it is 12 or 1 o’clock as long as we don’t get a 3.30 or 4 o’clock. Anyone know if we do get a late boarding whether we can get on earlier because we are Caribbean? Obviously it didn’t work for poster a bit above though. Editing that pdf is still showing on their website is there suppose to be a newer one then?
  3. This just shows why you have to leave early. So all those people complaining about passengers arriving at the port early and the people coming back at them saying it’s in case of traffic problems, perhaps they should read this and understand why people leave early just in case. Us getting up a few hours earlier and setting off early and then possibly having to wait in a queue is preferable to missing the ship if things unfortunately do go wrong.
  4. I assume Britannia docked further in because we ( can’t remember which ship might have been Ventura) were already docked at the gates. We have docked near the gates on Britannia before but I guess on this occasion they drew the short straw.
  5. Once when we docked in Cadiz, we were fine but Britannia was docked further away in the port so they had to have a shuttle which dropped them off next to our ship. On that occasion we caught the shopping bus that El Corte Ingles provide that used to be parked next to the ship and left about 10 o’clock and we met some of the passengers off Britannia. Do they still do that shopping bus I wonder as this was before Covid? You got a voucher for a little bit of tapas and a glass of wine and 10% off if you spent so much. We then always used to walk back to the ship, a nice easy walk. ( don’t be fooled by the way the bus goes as it goes round in a circle to get there, one way streets or something I guess).
  6. Interestingly I just asked my Son how they got on in La Spezia on Arvia and whether there were any complaints about the shuttle buses. He said they had no trouble in any of the ports and never heard any complaints ref shuttle. Sounds to me like this particular cruise was just unfortunate that everyone decided to head back to ship at the same time instead of it being spaced out. I can’t speak for myself as we have never ever queued for a shuttle in 15 years of cruising but we normally go out early and come back at lunch time ish.
  7. As someone else just said I expect more people are using the P & O buses are they are free for Select passengers and not that much for Saver passengers. Whereas MSC and Celebrity the shuttle buses cost quite a lot, so obviously lots make their own way, we certainly did when using both these cruise lines.
  8. Well I follow this forum all the time but not sure what you mean by 68 people follow it. Is there a button somewhere to click to follow it. Anyway even if there is why do I need to click a button whenI have the tab open for the P & O page anyway,
  9. Also I think on Princess some people ( only in USA I think, correct me anyone if I am wrong on that) seem to get Casino Cruises either free or very heavily discounted, they seem to be refused at moment and boy aren’t they moaning about it. If someone gave me a free cruise I wouldn’t expect spending money as well.
  10. No they were calling out the arrival times every now and then and people with those times were leaving the queue. My smallest suitcase didn’t turn up either and I found it myself just inside the crew area ( I was with one of the crew so didn’t just walk in) it was underneath loads of big suitcases. I hate to say it and this might cause an argument but I wonder if the reason no lotion is available is because people ( according to other social media) think it is okay to take the big bottles of lotion hone with them. I hope they they haven’t now spoilt it for everyone else in the future.
  11. I messaged P & O about this and the reply was no the toiletries should not be taken from the cabin as they are reusable. Unfortunately I can’t find the original post on the site otherwise I would reply to it .
  12. You can ask your Cabin Steward for the hand and body lotion , also hair conditioner and they bring the big pump bottles. It was also hand soap I said earlier was being taken. Exactly I agree . The Stewards must be able to refill without unscrewing surely, but I don’t know as never tried to remove. It’s unbelievable that people are doing this and it’s probably the same people complaining about price increases.
  13. Yes but they are saying they take the wall mounted ones as (they say) they aren’t used again. Also taking the big bottles of hand lotion that you can ask your Stewards for. Now I think the bottles are used again and they shouldn’t be taking them. Otherwise why do the Stewards often refill the bottles the day before the end of the cruise. They certainly don’t refill them so passengers can take full bottles home. To me it is the same as stealing the towels or all those lazy people that take the blue towels to the beach and just leave them there as they can’t be bothered to take wet or sandy towels back to the ship.
  14. Well perhaps the reason why it isn’t available some times is because people are taking the bottles home. Again people spoiling things for others. Perhaps if anyone is onboard at the moment they could ask their cabin steward what happens to the bottles after use, are they discarded or are they reused.
  15. It is just me who is shocked from reading on the well known social media page that people are asking for the hand lotion and lots are saying they are taking it home with them. Their excuse is it can’t be used again for health and safety reasons. One person is even saying that they take the hand soap and shower gel etc for the same reason. Now I thought the reason for the big bottles and not the little ones we used to get was because they were reusable which meant less plastic waste.
  16. Yes, which is what I am doing, I only resent it earlier because the first mail from them said to resend in May, which obviously wasn’t correct it should have said the end of May or given a specific date
  17. Unfortunately it seems to be a UK thing starting from this year. We always used to get it added earlier but I did send again and got same response. First they said resubmit in May ( cruise is the end of August) so I resubmitted in May and this time it said 90 days before cruise.
  18. I was only a baby then. Just think how televisions and every bit of technology has changed since the last coronation
  19. Seen some lovely pictures posted of the celebrations on board P & O and Cunard ships. Hope everyone on board are enjoying themselves. Hope to hear all about celebrations on here 🇬🇧
  20. We had sone in our cabin on Iona but didn’t need them. My Daughter in law had to ask on Arvia and Steward apologised .
  21. I think it is just in the UK they have adopted this 90 day rule as last year and before Covid we always applied and got early. From reading that social media site that shall not be named it seems others in UK are getting the same response.
  22. Iona has a much better menu for Olive Grove plus it opens at 12 and goes through the afternoon and Evening.
  23. The only company that seem to do some of status match is MSC but I wouldn’t bother with them if I was you, plus you will probably just get put on the first level up anyway.
  24. Just got an email from Princess after previously saying please apply again in May they now say apply 90 days before the cruise so I will have to email again in 2 weeks. Last year they applied the OBC a year before our cruises, I expect they changed it perhaps because people were applying and then selling the shares????
  25. If you are using Eavesway coaches or Cruise Connect coaches ( Intercruise) the buses are waiting right outside the terminal. There will be people there directing you to the correct coach. They always wait until everyone is on board before leaving. Tbh if you don’t drive the coaches are the easiest option. Also if the terminal you are coming into changes the buses will know this and be waiting at the correct one.
