We won’t be Caribbean until the cruise after next but do you just turn up for the Loyalty Lunch or do you get an invite. If the latter how do you get it as it can’t be left in the cabin as it might not be ready before you go.

Yes it is normally Ocean terminal for the big ships. Thanks so they do have queues to get on , I thought they would as so many people onboard. Yes also we do normally use Parking4cruises when we book Princess but for P & O we, as a general rule, book select so either take the free parking or the coach. If they are offering a large amount of OBC you get free parking plus OBC less a small amount for the parking. If has always worked out more advantageous to take the parking as I said because only a small amount is deducted for the parking, certainly less than even the cost of Parking4cruises.

Hi for all those using the CPS parking did you get straight through or just a short wait to drop off your cases and car or did you have to go into a holding queue. I remember going on Britannia before Covid we arrived and got sent to a long queue. There were 3 lines of cars waiting between the terminal and the Short Stay car park. So took quite a while to get into the terminal to drop cases, leave car and get into terminal building.

Can you get milkshakes anywhere on the two new ships?

Has anyone been able to book the MDR beforehand on Iona as we haven’t been able to book the MDR in advance on any other ship.

As above I am also confused as we have never been able to book the MDR before we board. We are on Iona in a few weeks and can’t book the MDR on that and my cousin is on her in a few days and can’t book the MDR on Iona. Are we doing something wrong or is Arvia different to the other ships regards booking MDR

I had a cushion on Ventura every day in the MDR recently, also on Princess, to alleviate this problem, plus pull the table slightly nearer. I was first offered one on Queen Victoria so ask for them now but there are normally ones nearby. It might be that the restaurant staff don’t know what banquette seating is that may have been why they looked puzzled. We normally refer to them as bench seats. Always ask for a cushion.

I don’t think we will be buying any watch that is expensive enough to pay tax on. I just looked and you can bring in goods worth up to £390 so presumably two of us can bring in £780 worth in different items but don’t think we would buy watches for that sort of price anyway, I would never wear it if we did. The mobile phone shop on Azura was all duty paid so it wouldn’t be relevant on there. Interested to see if similar items on Iona/Arvia are duty free.

What sort of shops are on board Iona and Arvia. We have onboard credit to spend and wondered what there was to spend it on. We won’t be spending hardly anything on drinks so need other ideas.

Thanks I’m only 4 ft 11 so good to know we should get a trolley to get to car park as depending where CPS park our car it could be the far side of the car park. At least with these new wheeled suitcases now that spin all ways they are a lot easier to pull.

When you roll off your own suitcases do you go the same way to get off the ship as those going to collect their suitcases, i.e. backwards and forwards many times down the ramp and do you then have to walk through the hanger where all the suitcases are lined up? Can you pick a trolley up to then take your suitcases across the car park to pick up your car?

Yes as post above the kids are on booking I was referring to the registration just before you sail.

A similar question if anyone can help. We are travelling with Son and family soon it says you have to register for children’s clubs. Does that appear when advertised or can it first appear at any time after the date it says it’s going to and has anyone ever had a problem booking kids in?

I’ve tried different browsers and also on iPad and PC, same problem. Just to point out we can can get into individual cruises on the P & O Personaliser , it is our individual P& O accounts to check points etc we can’t access. Having the same problems as everyone above are getting . Also whoever said about turning on and off again of course obviously we tried that first also deleting cookies etc etc.

I have since had an email and text from the NHS about booking a Covid jab. Just spoke to out Doctors who are part of a group now , they said wait for the invite from them and I will get Covid and Flu at the same time otherwise I might wait for flu jab. I’ll give it a few weeks and if haven’t had the text from Surgery Group will do walk in clinic and book free flu jab in Boots. btw Hubby has two very sore arms at the moment.

I’m nearly 75 and went with my Husband to get his but unfortunately couldn’t get one. It is all barcoded when you go in now. No barcode no jab. Hopefully I will get a booster and flu jab before our cruise in 6 weeks.

That's what I assumed as well. If you paid your balance before others on same cruise did they would presumably give it to everyone on the cruise whether paid balance or not. Our TA only wants the balance a week before those booking direct have to pay but I know some TAs ask for it a month or more earlier.

Princess is the only line I know of that does refundable OBC for military benefit. You have to get it back in US dollars though, which was handy for us as gave us a bit extra to give to waiters and cabin steward.

Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Unfortunately I really don't want OBC whether refundable or not as dollars are no good to me I don't know when I will use again. I already have hundreds of dollars in cash to give the crew that we never used from our Covid cancelled Hawaii cruise
