Did you have to cancel and rebook entirely? Or were you able to get an upsell on your original reservation? Do you remember exactly what you asked to get the upgrade? Forgive me, I’m just trying to figure out exactly what to say on the phone tomorrow 😂

Thank you for the reply! I love balconies myself, almost always cruised with one. At the time of my initial booking, the deluxe suite was outside of my budget, but now the price has dropped significantly, which is why I’m considering switching now. I’m just concerned how the refund would work now that final payment has already been processed? Would I just get a future cruise credit that I could put towards my rebooking? I’ve just heard horror stories about MSC’s customer service, like bookings getting completely ruined and the like. It’s the o Lu thing giving me pause rn. I guess if nothing else I could call and ask how the process might work even if I don’t officially change anything just yet.

Hi all, I have a yacht club interior room booked for the November 6th cruise on the Meraviglia out of Port Canaveral. The interior room cost about $2,200 when I booked it back earlier this year. Now I’m seeing that a deluxe suite is available for about $2,500…only $300 extra for a much better room! Now, this sounds like a great deal and if it were any other line I’d go ahead and rebook, but I’ve never sailed on MSC before and I’ve heard their customer service is a nightmare to deal with. Could I just call and offer to pay the difference to be moved into a deluxe suite perhaps? For anyone who has done this before, is that fantastic deal I mentioned above worth going through the hassle of MSC customer service? Thank you!

This is a good question. I’ve heard some YC guests can generally show up any time. I only live a couple hours away and I’d really like to get onboard the ship earlier than 3:00

Is it just me or does this Haven not have the same “luxurious” feel that some of the ones on the breakaway class ships do? Don’t get me wrong, it’s very nice…just a different feel to someone of the others I’ve experienced.

I’m pretty certain they aren’t heated and there isn’t one with a retractable roof that you see on a lot of older Carnival ships. However they do have a decent size thalassotherapy pool inside the thermal suite (which is indoors)

Okay so weird thing happened this morning. I’m currently on the Getaway and it was probably 5:30 in the morning. I get up super early and was sitting out on the balcony for a bit and then I came back inside the cabin. Immediately something felt weird, like that “you’re being watched” feeling. I brushed it off. Then the Bluetooth headphone in my ear turned off by itself and instead of saying “power off” like it usually does, it said “goodbye.” People let me tell you, I’ve had these headphones for a couple months now and they have NEVER done that. After that I immediately got cold chills all down my legs like something was passing through me and I kept thinking I saw some orbs or shadows out of the corner of my eye. At that I “noped” right out of there and went back outside and hid for a bit. After about 30 minutes I came back inside the cabin and things felt completely normal. If it was a ghost, it must have moved on to someplace else or something. So we either have a Getaway ghost or I shouldn’t drink 10 mojitos right before bed…

Are the “premium package” shown here and the “Adult beverage package” that comes with the free at sea promotion the same?

Do the angled balconies on the getaway class ships come with loungers? If not can the be requested if they’d fit? I only ask since I have room 9136 (shown with the arrow on the pic) and it has an angled balcony and I was wondering if I should expect a lounger.

On NCL’s prohibited items list it says we aren’t allowed to bring “large batteries” on board. That’s a bit vague to me…do they mean “large” as in car batteries and stuff like that or would my portable phone charger be a problem? I attached a picture with it in my hand for scale.
