Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We ended up doing the cavetubing with cavetubing.bz. It was amazing!

The information that Cuckoo7 gave was spot on! Meeting location, price, lunch, travel time, etc!!! As far as seniors being able to handle it...another group that was doing the walk to the beginning of the cave, had a lady (I swear) she had to of been in her 80's and she was handling it fine. The guides are great about taking the time that people need and most of the walk is just on flat ground. I loved that with a 3rd party excursion, you actually float further than the excursion offered on the cruise ships, you get lunch AND the price is cheap (it is still only $50).

Thank you to everyone that suggested Cave-tubing.bz! We did the tour with them yesterday and it was amazing! Luis was an awesome guide, he took you over the small waterfalls and pushed your tube next to them so you could feel the water coming over and you definitely noticed how much further you go down the river than the cruise excursions. Not to mention the lunch the provided was delicious.
  4. We board today and we were curious to find out about the time we can access our cabin. Our check-in time is at 1:30pm and I know that is when I have seen that people have gotten into their cabin. Will we be able to head straight to our cabin OR do they stagger the time depending on when you actually board.
  5. Thank you for the info!!!!!
  6. What is the best way to get to the Krazy Lobster in Costa Maya? We will be stopping in Costa Maya this week during our cruise with Carnival. I have seen taxi, but wasn't sure if it is walkable? Also, if taking a taxi, do they typically know where Krazy Lobster is at?
  7. Oh man that sucks....she even called Carnival and they didn't say anything about needing the positive to be at least 10 days out.
  8. My travel partner tested positive on June 11th, we leave this coming Sunday. She is symptom free, but still testing positive. Her positive tests have (so far) all been on home tests. When she went to the doctors, they told her that since she tested positive on a home test, they did not need to do one. She is going to see her doctor on Thursday and is going to get the letter of recovery. But I see people saying that you need to have a lab positive test for Carnival to allow you on. My question is- is the positive test that they are looking for, the one that you have to take 2-3 days prior to embarkation OR are they wanting a lab test prior to the 10 days?
  9. I will be going on a cruise in June down to Belize. I want to book a cave tubing excursion through an outside company. I am looking at the ones that have been suggested here. However, I know that if you use a tour company that is not associated with the cruise line, the cruise line does not have to wait for you (if you are running late). So, I am curious to see if anyone has had any issues, with the above mentioned companies running late? About how long do you have between returning to the dock from the tour and your ship leaving (do they cut it close)? I want to be able to relax and enjoy myself and not worry about missing the departure.
