I had similar issues until I changed my screen protector. I found the hard , "glass clear" protection caused too much reflection. I now get a matte finish protector and can see much better. Many protectors have an option.

I just did a fantastic tour of Tivoli in early May with Great Italy Tours. Booked it as a pick up at cruise terminal with drop off at FCO hotel. We had a fun driver ( Alex) for the day, who was prompt, very knowledgeable and drove well. Our guide was a certified guide who lived in the area, and knew both of the sites in detail. They arranged a lunch at a local small restaurant that was family owned and operated, and made pasta from scratch ( we watched them). One of the best tours I've been on. I don't know how much it costs- I had a voucher from a covid cancelled tour from 2020 with them , and they honored it for this one . I will definitely use them again !

Actually, tell the agent you DONT want a pcc. Just deal with the agent you get online. That's what I ended up doing. The PCC never responded to my emails/ phone calls etc, even when trying to book new cruise. Carolyn

Are you staying in Anchorage overnight? The Ships Creek Hotel is no longer a Choice Hotel, and they are NOT guaranteeing current reservations. In fact, I was told by the hotel directly they have no knowledge of any reservations made through the Choice Hotel website. Posted on the Alaska forum already to try and get the word out. I just cancelled and booked a different hotel but could be a painful way to start a trip. Carolyn

I just called Ships Creek, and they told me they have no access to any of the Choice Hotel data , so they don't even have names/dates etc of any reservations made through them. I managed to find rooms downtown , as we have a 6:45am train to Seward to catch . Its going to be painful for some people.

I tried to cancel my reservation on the Choice Hotel website a couple days ago, and could not. I ended up calling and getting a cancellation number from them, although it still comes up on my account as a current trip. Thanks for finding out what is going on. FYI costs have sky rocketed in the other downtown hotels. CT
