  1. Realize this thread is a few months old but surprised NCL Bliss and Encore haven’t been mentioned, both have amazing observation lounges that are 2 stories high directly over the bridge. The lounges themselves take up about a third of deck 15 and the side windows are floor to ceiling and about 10 feet wide. The main caveat is on glacier days they are packed. Our day in glacier bay at 5:30am people had already claimed bulk of the seating. Outside of that portion of the trip we could almost always find seating and spent a lot of time there just watching the world go by. We likened the Atrium as the family room and the observation lounge as the living room. Note the NCL Joy has a similar observation lounge - the forward portion is basically identical but the side windows are not as wide/unobstructed as it’s sisters. Also on all three ships there is yet another 2 story observation lounge on top of the main lounge for Heaven guests. Overall we are finding it difficult to plan future cruises to similar locations without such lounges. IMG_3297.MOV
  2. Hey we were on the same cruise - look forward to hearing your review/opinions. Ketchikan sounds like we struck weather gold based what crew members said to us. We both bought new rain coats for the trip so will chalk it up to that though the start of the day in Glacier Bay was….
  3. @YVRteacher loved your posts about this cruise. We board the Encore tomorrow on the same itinerary and as first time cruisers your posts tied up a lot of the unknowns we’d been looking for regarding shows and activities. Coincidently was down in Seattle with the drone on your departure day - who knows you maybe in it!
  4. Caught the Sun down at the container terminal below Mt Rainer earlier today as the Encore was departing Pier 66.
  5. Thanks for passing this along.
  6. Curious is this Incident directly related to the Encore skipping Skagway today and going to Sitka instead? Within the NCL fleet not sure why this would need to for happen if it was port space considerations or were there some port shuffling on the sister lines or other lines as well as a result?
  7. First time cruisers headed to Alaska on the Encore on August 7th. Between NCL's website and App its unclear how many/what nights the main The Choir of Man show will play. I realize there maybe some variation of schedules in these covid times but trying to get a general idea on how many opportunities one has to see the main entertainment. Only "Freestyle Daily" I've seen from an Encore Alaska Itinerary this year had just 3 performances for the main show: Night 2: The Choir of Man 7:30pm and 10pm Night 3: The Choir of Man 9:30pm Other nights show Magic/Comedy/Music acts in the main theater. Does this seem about right or will they add additional headline shows for sailings that may have heavier passenger loads in the summer? This schedule was from the May 15th sailing.
