Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I haven't gotten an upgrade offer email for an upcoming World Europa cruise in a couple of weeks. I checked the website tool and it says my booking isn't eligible, so that's that I guess. I'm in a YC interior and would love to have a shot at getting YC balcony. Anyone have any experience of upgrading on embarkation? Possibility of doing so and reasonableness of prices? Looks like there is inventory available for new bookings (3x what I paid for my booking!)
  2. I think it can be interpreted two ways. "Per person" generally refers to everyone on the booking in cruises right, not "per member". I read it as silver/gold/diamond members booking a cruise receive an OBC per person ie in the cabin. 🤷🏻‍♂️ It can totally be read the other way but should really say per member.
  3. Yeah I agree. I have another booking 18 months away which I've only just booked and put down a deposit on, so guess want to understand what's "supposed" to happen
  4. MSC are being pretty hopeless in explaining this and I couldn't find any threads that fully confirm it! I'm Diamond, booked over 9 months out, received the right discounts BUT only received the €50 OBC for me, not my husband. He is not a VC member. However, everywhere on the website it says the OBC credit is per person. MSC refuse to add OBC for him, because it is per person who is a silver and above member, apparently. Not per person on everyone else in your cabin by default. The wording is extremely confusing. What are other's experiences? Appreciate your help!
  5. Closing the loop on this... Sounds like AU/NZ (or NZ at least) based customers have it easy. Received a clear email today from Princess and another from HSBC. Enter bank account on HSBC website and paid within 3 days. This is pretty much bang on a month after cruise departure.
  6. Thanks everyone... Any idea from Australia or NZ cruisers - should have mentioned - here in NZ checks no longer exist or usable 😜
  7. Anyone know how long this takes? My final bill ended up with refundable credit left that Princess owe me, rather than me owing them anything... Nice position to be in I guess! Asked on board and guest services just said I'd get an email link to enter my credit card information sometime...even though they already had this on file to take my money lol
  8. Indeed, it seems like they are the Hard Rock Hotels of cruises - heavy on the partying, sex toys in the minibar etc. And limited routes. If Princess just stuck to enforcing what they advertise and offer an area like any other cruise line...
  9. Found out more information. Apparently when a cruise has "lots of children" the adults only areas will open up to kids. Seems completely the opposite of what it should be.. more need for an adults only area in that situation.
  10. It sounded like a permanent change out of Australia but tbh it was hard to get much out of them... For this ship yet alone others sorry! We won't be choosing Princess again if no adults only areas. Cheaper cruise lines offer them, it's bizarre
  11. Guest services staff all confirming that Hollywood areas no longer adults only, and haven't been on last few cruises on Majestic...
  12. Yeah, it was when we booked, along with the Conservatory... We are certainly not in cold weather in the South Pacific!
  13. Currently on Majestic in the South Pacific... The whole Hollywood Pool Club is packed with kids. Staff shrugged and says there is no adults only pool anywhere in the ship. Anyone know what's up?
  14. First time cruiser so forgive my confusion... I have a spa appointment pre-booked for 1.15pm on sailaway day. But what if I can't secure an early enough boarding group to make it in time? Can I just show up early anyway and say I've got an appointment to make? Thanks!!
  15. Yep seems fixed. How annoying this was a bug for weeks and they didn't even mention on their website there were technical issues
