A block away will get you the Pacific Rim... and you won't be disappointed ;)

Thanks all. Can anyone else confirm some of the cabins in the second post?
Yes, these cabins have been extensively discussed in this forum (and on other websites). Search for ship name + the cabin number and you will find many reviews and images.

For my upcoming Equinox Rome to Barcelona. Having mixed emotions. I booked a GTY balcony, and I was really happy to save over 1k PP(!) by not selecting a cabin. Got my assignment today Deck 6 (ok, partially obstructed, just the lifeboats, no big deal). FIRST on the hump (what? are you kidding me? No one booked that? I got it on GTY! WOOOO). Port side (ugh, right above the smoking section. I hate smoking).
How would you feel?

I agree. Rocks, not slush. Teach them how to make a proper "Cadillac" Margarita.
-
This is obviously becoming a regular occurrence, and is turning off many of its regular valued customers.
Celebrity... what are you going to do to stop this charade?

Is your cruise full? We are sailing Aug 1 and allocated. Lots of cabins left.
Haven't scanned the available cabins since I was booking, but there weren't a lot left then (a few weeks ago), and we are well past final payment. Not really concerned, I know we're on board. It would be nice to know, though.

We're on equinox at the end of June, balcony gty, haven't received our assignment yet...

Isn't that the Mast Grill area that is mentioned? It's actually one deck up from the pool and yes there were ashtrays there on my sailing two weeks ago. I was with smokers and these are the three areas that they had to go to. It was nice they were in areas that non smokers could avoid if they wanted. Nice balance though smokers may prefer more areas :)
Oops! Mixing up my Connie with my Sillie! We were on Silhouette at xmas, Connie was March Break.
they were huddled in small groups - definite outcasts and could barely enjoy their puffs with all the dirty and disgusted looks/comments they were receiving from passer-by'sAn accurate characterization. It is only a matter of time until things are smoke free. Smoking is a choice that you are free to make, in the privacy of your own home.

Thanks. Had no idea we didn't have PMs.
So has there been an actual update from Celebrity that the $16 is NOT happening? I know that it was scheduled to go from 10 to 16 after April 20th.

I read pages yesterday, and the recent pages have gotten off topic. Can someone PM me the answer:
Is it $10/Day to upgrade from 123Go to Premium or are they sticking with the $16 gouge upgrade? This would be for my June 2015. I would prefer to use my OBC if it is going to be 10, but I'll call tomorrow to upgrade is necessary.

Did this recently change? There was still smoking on the pool deck, opposite side from the grille, by the sliding doors, on the Silhouette at xmas this year.
If so, great news. One step closer...;)

You don't have a kid. Your offspring is an adult. Let them enjoy themselves and learn the privileges and responsibilities of being an adult.

I've seen students on almost every one of our xmas and March Break cruises. No big deal, I get along well with my kids. I know that would be a major issue for others, though.
I'm leaning towards Summit.

We're Elite on X, and have only done a different line once. Princess, for our honeymoon, ten years ago, and we didn't like it as much as Celebrity. We're currently looking to book a ten year anniversary cruise for late June/early July, and we're torn between Bermuda (went there for 1st and 5th anniversary on X), or Europe.
However, I've found the 9 night July 2nd cruise on Liberty of the Seas on RCI, and I really like the itinerary. A huge benefit is we can drive to the port instead of spending over 1k on flights to Europe.
Can I get some opinions from cruisers that have traveled on both X and RCI? To provide some background, we're a couple with no kids. Both teachers, so we always have to travel at high season. We like the X formula, and appreciate the laid back atmosphere. Having done Bermuda a couple of times, we know that there will be lots of families on board, no matter if we are on Liberty or Summit.
Also, what perks do we receive on RCI being Elite on X?
Thanks in advance, hoping to book tomorrow!
Jason.

Happy it's gone. It was tacky, delayed dessert, and servers seemed hurt when you ordered something other than Baked Alaska.

I agree. "lobster" on X is not "lobstah" (shout out to my Mainers)

On debarkation day, left my jacket on the back of the chair I was sitting on. I noticed as soon as I got to the airport and immediately called Celebrity.
Jacket had a Unique logo on it. Told them exactly where I left it.
Poor communication from Celebrity, Jacket never found.
Worth a call to Celebrity as they do have a dept that handles this and I was able to talk to them. Good luck, hope it isn't too valuable ($ wise or sentimental).
On our last cruise, my wife left an expensive hoodie in the closet. We had just arrived back at our place in Ft Laud when she realized that the item was forgotten. Drove back to the port, and she went in to see the X reps. She was told that clothing left is disposed of. We had just disembarked, so I told her to go back in and ask them to check the cabin. The shirt appeared shortly at the desk.

Had many Amstel Light bottles and drafts on Silhouette at xmas. I was on premium pkg.
-
I have requested it, and received it with no problem in the MDR.

Top 40 pop. I think I heard "Happy", "Get Lucky", and "Blurred Lines" three times a day. Along with lots of Maroon 5.

There was live music on Silhouette at Christmas at the pool, every day, by four different acts. The band, Soul, who were all musicians from the Caribbean (but played neither soul nor caribbean music), a duo Carilie and the King (classic easy rock), a DJ accompanied by a sax player (better than it sounds), and a solo guitarist/singer whose name escapes me (but could have been Jason Mraz).

Pool area is active and fun. Music all day, sometimes live. Not much Caribbean music anymore, though...

You don't have to go to your room to check your voicemail, there are phones to use everywhere. That would be a good system for the family to use.
